So why such fear

I feel alone

I wail and groan

My soul feels weak

My spirit seeks





My mind it reads

And intercedes

I’m trying hard

To keep my guard

From sinful ways

And fruitless days





They mock and scorn

I am forlorn

I stand dejected

For once again I am rejected

They laugh and squeal

“Are you for real?”







My heart grows heavy, my knees feel weak

But I stand up tall, for those that seek

I AM discouraged… I AM dismayed

I thought and pondered, prepared and prayed




THEN...................


YOU’RE HERE DEAR GOD I KNOW IT NOW

For standing here, I see just how…..

My fear was real, my soul felt weak and

…you gave me the courage, to actually speak!
