The Lord God speaks to and about Lucifer in that he was perfect in his ways until “iniquity”(sin) was found in him.
Eze28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Eze28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
The way in which God would bring him to destruction upon the earth would be by “bringing forth the fire from the midst of Lucifer” The fire would be the“fire of sin” that was found in Lucifer”
Isaiah 9:18 For sin burns like a fire. It burns thistles and thorns. It sets the woods on fire, and they go up in the smoke (NLV)
We normally don't think of sin as being a fire. I wonder how the flames of hell and or the lake of fire continue on forever? Is the fire of sin from all who will be there be its source throughout eternity? The sin that is never quenched causes the torment of these souls.
Is it eternal that can never be put out? If sin is the transgression of the law of God, and since the earth will pass away but God's word will never pass away. We can be assured that sin will never pass away because God's word will never pass away that describes it!
Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
The” color”of sin is “scarlet”,“crimson red”
Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
It is interesting that the color “scarlet” back in Jesus's day was made by “crushing” “grub worms which released a red color substance when crushed. They would then use this color to dye clothing. We read in the Book of Isaiah about a time on the new earth and what the saints will do at a specific time.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
Isa 66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: FOR THEIR WORM SHALL NOT DIE, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
Interestingly the fire of sin is also referred to as a person being a ”worm” whose fire that will never be quenched!
Jesus when he was speaking about hell said.......
Mar9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for there to enter into life maimed than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Mar 9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
It is unconscionable to think Jesus would have experienced this in paying for man's sins.
Psa22:6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
Psa22:7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
Psa22:8 He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
This could only be Jesus that is spoken of here!
Sin is a fire within those who have not been redeemed from it by the new birth.
2Co5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Jesus took on himself the fires of the sins of man until God was “satisfied” in his torment for us.
Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed.
Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Isa 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
The same fire of sin that will bring Satan to his knees will be same kind of fire that the wicked
who do not accept God's gift of salvation will experience in hell and the lake of fire.
