Why do some Christians in this day and time, who are able body readers, don’t have to read their bibles, even college educated people who are well off. Only thing they have to do is say I love God or I love Jesus. I believe in God, I am a good person, I believe Jesus is the Son of God.
And when anybody dies, either their friends, family members are always looking down over them, from Heaven! The church is full of this! And when some one gets murdered. Stories are told in church how they are in Heaven, and sometimes the person do not even believe in Jesus Christ! And most of these churches are backing them up! In United States of America’ everybody go to Heaven, just believe have faith you will go there, just go to a funeral, the church will tell you we are having a home going!

The church is leading the way on this path. And some say; the church is a place to find the “Truth” and to hear the “Truth”! Somebody is lying! This belief has arisen from inside the “institutionalize church” and not from the streets of “Baghdad”, and have spread out, into the “7 Continents of the World” that had risen and sits upon the waters.

The Only people who have a 'free ride to heaven' are those who have been born-again. A born-again believer will have the Holy Spirit indwelling them and being guided to More Godliness -- which is in turn leading Away from worldliness. And That is not a "free ride" -- but it Does give the person Inner Peace. And That is what people are Looking for -- the inner peace that only God can give Through Jesus Christ.

Well -- people Do need to get back To the word of God.

Salvation is a bit more than "I love God" or "I love Jesus" And a good person isn't going to necessarily be going to heaven. A person Does need to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

A person Does need to place their faith in the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross for our sins. and that That is all that's needed For our salvation. None of our good works will be enough to do it or we would be tempted to be proud of that. We would be Tempted to justify our salvation on our good works. And Ephesians 2 tells us differently.

The Bible is where we find the truth -- John 14:1-6. Jesus Christ is telling everyone that He is the way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father, but by Him.

The blood of Christ is sufficient. That is where a person needs to place their faith.

Well -- there Are people who believe that their saved loved ones who have died Are looking down from heaven -- God's Word tends to suggest this. I'm not sure that we're told one way or the other.

And Why do You bring up anything about someone being murdered. Oh, because being murdered is horrible and their life was being taken from them by someone so Therefore , God grants them mercy?! Well -- in the 1st place -- people are trying to comfort one another at the time of someone's death. And it IS extra bad when someone Is murdered. Even if the victim hasn't been a very nice person -- ya Still don't say -- well -- they are in hell. Ya simply give a hug of condolence and move on.

Well -- when a person Does believe in God and believes in Jesus Christ as their Savior, they Are going to heaven. And it Is true that they are 'going home' to be with their heavenly Father. At the moment of their death -- absent from the body Is being present with our Lord.

No one / no church is lying to Anyone about that. They / we are learning That from God's Word.

It's Also true that not All churches teach God's Word. So a Wise person will find one that Does teach God's Word.

I believe you are not properly grasping the deeper truths to your statements.

1. Believing in God is good. Any God fearing person is better off then a non God fearing person. These people ''have''chosen whom they will serve this day Josh 24:15.
2. Saying ''I am a good person'' is good. It points to a person judging themselves. This should definitely be further encouraged as Paul says. We must continue to work out our salvation in fear and trembling Phil 2:12 and that if we are truthful in self judgement, we would not need to be judged 1 Cor 11:31.
3. Not reading bible. As in attending church only? If so, this is not bad either. Church attendance is good. Nobody attends a church that lifts Jesus up because they hate Jesus.

4. Then, the biggest and most important matter I have against your OP is that I feel you don't grasp the relevance of being able to say ''Jesus is the Son of God''.

Nobody can easily say Jesus is the Son of God. It is not a statement that just slips off one's tongue. Peter needed a revelation of this before he could say it. God had to give it to him Matt 16:16-17. This is the case I would say for all born again Christians.

Now God does not just give a revelation of Jesus to someone who did not pass His judgement of heart and mind Jer 17:9-11. Unless there was a point where said person truthfully repented Psalm 51:17, they would simply not ever know Jesus as Lord.

Calling Jesus the Son of God, is per Isa 9:6, calling Him Lord.

KingJ, It is a statement of “irony”!
I’m making a “dis agreement what is being taught in the modern day “Institutionalize church”! It has nothing to do with “Deep”!

@PloughBoy -- maybe you simply need to find a good, Bible-teaching church. Try Baptist -- conservative Baptist. They're pretty solid in God's Word.

This is just the expression of Gods choice. The rest are blinded until the time he takes the blinders off. They will say and do as they please and teach doctrines of men and that
is exactly as the Father would have it. The elect usually are gone from institutional churches within 6 or so months of receiving the Holy Ghost as they mature in the word the falsity of what they thought was Christianity openly shows itself to be false. The modern day Church is just another spiritual obstacle placed in the path of the elect to overcome and thus increase in understanding as they are ready for solid food.

We cannot change their position with God anymore than Esau could change his.

If we believe that God is sovereign over all things then we understand he has placed this obstacle in our path for our maturing. Sometimes the best thing to do is shake the dust off your shoes and move on when it becomes apparent that the blinders are going to remain for now. But that's hard as we all want to share, but who can hear us?
He that has the Holy Ghost and has been taught by him.

"......Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." And it is only given to the elect to know the truth.

I hear what your saying but the time has come long ago when you speak and out the door you go because it isn't APPROVED DOCTRINE FROM HOME OFFICE. And they can't afford a mass exodus from the building unto a personal relationship with God, their BUSINESS would fail.

Why do I need to do that for? What, Jesus is not enough? He commanded me to go and make “disciples of mankind”. He did not tell me to go to a church. And He is my Shepherd and I will follow no other. He died for me to follow him. A church cannot save me, and surely will not die for me, a sinner. The vail in the Temple was torn into. I am a member of the “Royal Priesthood “ now. We have the power of God in us. I was purchase, bought, paid for in full, by the blood of Jesus. So now I belongs to him, a slave, no one else can own me! I don’t even own myself any longer. If I run away, He will find me and bring me back to the fold. Because He owns me. And there is no other Shepherd like Him. Isn’t that “Good News”!

(1 John 2).
26These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

But I understand, that many are not that close to the Lord so they need a go between. If they didn’t have a pastor or church to go to, they would be almost feeling undone. All us are not like that, He’s our constant friend, he never leaves us alone, never that is why he sent “another comforter”. But I know that many cannot except this for it is not for all.

Hope i understand your post. So many churches today are nothing more then feel good. Many choose to not speak the whole Word only the easy stuff, like God is love which is true but God is also

Deu_1:37 Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.
Heb_10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Exo_34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

Nah 1:2 God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

Heb_10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Many churches fail to teach the whole Word. Which makes God seem weak and mushy. Just the feel good stuff, All sides of god and His word should be taught.

Well said! Today’s modern day ministers are like the Prophets that we’re opposing “Jeremiah” and the Shepherds, that God revealed to “Ezekiel” the Priest. Today’s Pastors have become a modern day, “biblical motif” of a Old Testament era. Of types and shadows in which has come in to be!

This right here is the point to the true believer. Give up your Comforter in favor of man and lose what level of inheritance you could have attained to. Doesn't mean your not the elect anymore just means you will remain as an infant in the kingdom.
The greatest and most important relationship any of us will ever have is our own personal relationship with the Lord and the Comforter as they are the only ones that can guide us into ALL TRUTH.
If that's what we want, truth, then we leave everything else behind, take up our cross and follow along. If he gives us opportunity to water a sprout or toss out a few seeds here and there so be it. But the ground it falls into we know not whether there will be increase or not, that's not witihin our ability.

Heb_10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Agree completely, but are we sure they even know the truth? How much can a person learn from a 20 minute sermon once or twice a week? But with the Holy Ghost class is in session 24/7 365. I prefer the comforter as my teacher even though it makes us seem crazy to the non elect world.

I've heard some incredibly ridiculous preaching like a dog chasing it's tail for 30 minutes and the people were in awe. I wanted to throw up because he said nothing and there went 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

God gave us His Holy Spirit He also set up church authority .Seems to me the they should work together.

Should, if they are all of the TRUE CHURCH and being instructed by the Holy Ghost everyone of them. The authority you speak of is really more like caring for the younger in Christ and protecting them from the false things as well as making sure that the needy and poor are taken care of. Not a ruling over scenario as we are all brothers on the same path striving for the same outcome, and all of us at times need support not task masters. A minister is a servant in the kingdom ministering to the needs of others no matter what they may be food, clothing, prayer, shelter etc...

The doctrine of the Nicolaitans is a thing that Jesus Hates and appears to be a tier system of men that separated lay from clergy then got worse by adding more and more layers of clergy between the people and the Lord. Big misuse of responsibility. And turned the church into a business for the leaders.

The authority i speak of ? The Word says .
Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Nothing personal but authority carries with it the sound of power over others and that is clearly not what the verses you quoted suggested they should be doing. But rather
always edifying and supporting one another til we ALL come to the unity of the faith and growing up into him in all things.

Didn't mean to offend.

No offence taken ... :) Seeing some things a little different is not offensive, makes for interesting threads :)

@Samson2020 -- The Ephesians passage Does give more authority Scripturally for those called To ministry / teaching in the local church. People in the congregation Do need to be listening to what the person behind that pulpit is sharing - teaching.

Everyone does Not have the same spiritual gifts obviously.

Vs 12 of that passage. sounds like you skipped That verse and landed on the next one.

LOL.,, I know the feeling, what am I doing up in here!

@Samson2020 -- some of the concepts that you've adopted -- not surprised. The church I go to -- he has an outline of his sermon in the bulletin -- we are going through the book of 11 Timothy. He uses the over-head so we can both listen and fill in the blanks. He's got a Ph.D and really knows how to present God's Word. He's also organizing a mission trip to a foreign country for anyone in church to go to. And he's out-lined a plan for D Groups for very small group outreach into the community. Even when we didn't have a full-time pastor - the people were organizing several mission trips to foreign countries. One of the locations -- one of the local pastors had been murdered because he was sharing the Gospel. So that particular team was a bit concerned. But they went and lots of people Did accept Christ. And they learned later that the pastor who hosted them was taken the following day for a day-long questioning by the police. It was really a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel --- that is real foreign missions.

Actually -- in our case -- it's more than 20 minutes -- more like half an hour or more. He's a fast talker so gets a Lot put into the service. A person has to / Wants to listen and learn.

And -- along with the Sunday sermon -- each person Should be reading their own Bible during the week. Learning and sharing.
