NOBODY has everything right when it comes to end-time prophecy and in no way do I claim to have everything right. I can only show you what I think according to the results of my studies, and how I arrive at my conclusions. I can admit that I express my opinions in these matters. It's a bit long because it contains several notes from Strong's lexicon.
The 'experts' have used Daniel 11:37 to misled people in believing that the anti-Christ will not have a god therefore he cannot be a Muslim. They base that solely upon this verse...
"Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god:"
He believes he IS God that's why Daniel says he will not regard any god! The experts like to omit verses 28 and 39....
But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things....
Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god. (Allah)
The God of forces could mean two things.
1- fortresses - a fortified place; figuratively, a defence:—force, - underground bunkers. The word 'forces' in v.38 is the same word as 'strongholds" in verse 39.
2. Eastern Religion gods that claim 'deity' become ONE with their 'deity' and become ONE with others. Therefore, the man AC will become ONE with his demonic deity (the God of Forces/Powers) - hence, the demonic spirit - the Abyss Beast Abaddon/Apollyon...
AND - a god his fathers (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ishmael) knew not - Allah) Abraham didn't know Allah, neither did he know 'Marduk' or the Babylonian "moon god." Coincidentally, a crescent moon is a symbol of Islam.
Some of the experts will tell you that verse 37 - "nor the desire of women," indicates the anti-Christ will be a homosexual Jew! That's shows us just how bad AND BIASED these 'experts' are at interpretation.
I'd like to back up to verse 24...
He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province;
This means he comes to power without war in the oil rich Arab region of the Middle-East. Why? The word fattest is the word 'mashman' and means fatness, fat piece, fertile place, richly prepared food, fat, fatness, fat pieces, oil, olive oil, fatness, fertile spots or places. That word comes from the root word 'shaman' which means to make or grow fat! shaman 'shaw-man' a primitive root; to shine, i.e. (by analogy) be (causatively, make) oily or gross:--become (make, wax) fat.
Most people haven't researched this passage much, they've pretty much left it to - yep - 'the experts.' They don't know that there are three different words for God between verse 36 and 39.
...and magnify himself above every god. That's what the Madhi will do!
Strong's #410 . 1) god, god-like one, mighty one a) mighty men, men of rank, mighty heroes b) angels c) god, false god, (demons, imaginations) d) God, the one true God, Jehovah 2) mighty things in nature 3) strength, power It indicates a strong, mighty one, a hero. In Eze, 31 11 the same word is used of Nebuchadnezzar "the mighty one of the nations." Keep this in mind because Nebuchadnezzar will again resurface in other end-time passages. (not here)
In verse 36 the word god, gods, and God is the same Hebrew word yet in the English translation God is capitalized once.
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
Magnify - exalt - himself above every god - especially the Christian God - the God of Israel. That's why it's not capitalized. And he shall speak marvelous things against the God (Jehovah) of gods. (all false gods)
He, the AC will speak against the one true God who is the God of all gods. That's why God is capitalized and gods is not though being the same word.
In verse 37 Strong's [HASH=3232]#H410[/HASH] "el" is NOT used. Strong's [HASH=3233]#H430[/HASH] "'elohiym"and H433 "'elowahh" are used.
v. 37 Neither shall he regard the God (Strong's [HASH=3233]#H430[/HASH]) of his fathers. The God of Abraham etc.
It is used once in the entire passage indicating 'Elohiyim. "Fathers" indicate the founder and first ancestor of a nation. i.e. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and of course - Ishmael and Arab nations.
The God of his fathers is the God of Israel and Abraham. He will not honor the one true God of Abraham and Israel. He honors a foreign god called Allah.
"nor the desire of women..."
This doesn't mean that the man of sin will be a homosexual! It means that the man of sin will not care about what women desire! That in itself is a Muslim trait! Muslim's value their farm animals with more regard and value than women.
Have you ever seen a video of an honor killing? They tie a persons hands (usually a woman) behind their back and wrap them up in a sheet and bury them in the ground to their waist. Then the crowd circles about them and are told not to throw stones that are too small as to prolong their suffering or stones that are too large which would hasten their death. Many teenagers are still murdered in this was today, usually for refusing to marry the man the father chooses, and the father is usually the one to throw the first stone. Welcome to just one, small, abomination of the earth.
...nor regard any god: Strong's #433 and used 3 times in the entire passage in V-37-38. He doesn't regard any god because he believes - or makes others believe he IS god!
Strong's #433 God, - false god. From Gesenius's Lexicon. This word 'God and god' is Strong's #433 and is used over 2000 times in the plural form of the true God. When used in the singular form as (god) like it is here in verse 37-39 it speaks of an obstinate self-confident man, "whose own strength is as his god," i.e. who despises every god and confides in his own strong hand.
God of Forces
