The Gospel
Stated simply, the Gospel can be summarized as God ... Man ... Christ ... Response. Read the following outline to get to the heart of the Good News from a biblical perspective. Jesus said, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink" (John 7:37). So then, come and recieve from Jesus, the only one who gives living water, and never thirst again!
I. God

I. God
Creator - Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
Loving - 1 John 4:16 "God is love."
Holy - 1 John 1:5 "God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all." - Habakkuk 1:13 "Your eyes are too pure to look on evil, you cannot tolerate wrong."
II. ManLoving - 1 John 4:16 "God is love."

Created for relationship with God - Genesis 1:27 "God created man in His own image."
All have sinned, relationship with God broken - Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Sin deserves death penalty - Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death."

PERSON: God-Man
1) Fully God - John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word (Jesus Christ) and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
2) Fully human - John 1:14 "The Word (Jesus Christ) became flesh and lived among us."
WORK: sinless & miraculous life, atoning death, powerful resurrection - Matthew 20:28 "The Son of Man (Jesus Christ) came not to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many." - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, he was buried, he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."
SIGNIFICANCE: atoning sacrifice for eternal life…THE ONLY WAY TO GOD
1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." - John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except by me.
IV. Response1) Fully God - John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word (Jesus Christ) and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Grace: Salvation by grace through faith - Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." - Acts 16:31 "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved."
Repent from sin - Acts 17:30 "God commands all people everywhere to repent."
Acknowledge by faith that Christ died in your place - Romans 5:8 "God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Call on the name of the Lord -
Romans 10:13 "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
