God is good all the time that is Psalms 34 vs 8,"let the people taste and see that the LORD is good". my prayer for you today is that you get closer and closer to the LORD each day............ each day is a new page.. a new slate............. another chance to do good..... but in as much as it is a new day.......... do we make ourselves good. NO.
Let me tell you something..........GOD demands us to do Good. the good that he demands he provides it himself.......... IF God wants you to be righteous, look back to HIM and he will make you right. Isn't that GREAT. Jeremiah 31 vs 33 - 34 "This is the covenant i will make with the house of Israel after that time", declares the Lord. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Nolonger will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord', because they all know me from the least of them to the greatest." declares the LORD. what a GREAT GOOD GOD we serve....... But according to Romans 6 vs 1-2, "......shall we continue to sin that grace may abound......By no means!" . my brothers and sisters let us not accept the grace of GOD in vain ........ to just accept the CHRISTIAN way of life to ABSOLUTELY no effect at all...
God says if you learn how to do the good and later return to the evil, nothing you have done will be remembered before HIM. you would not want that , would you? Ezekiel 18 vs 24 can be used as a reference, it says "But if a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? none of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has commited, he will die."
To accept God's grace in vain is to accept, recieve the LORD Jesus as the Savior, to accept to know the LORD JESUS but still continue to follow the PASSIONS of the former ignorance, to walk according to the desires of the flesh as a man not ENLIGHTENED. that is why Paul says in the following verses 2 Corinthians 6 vs 14, "....do not be found yoked together with unbelievers....for what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?..........." This is not a rhetorical question. it needs an answer. the answer is; Evil and Good are two different things that can never be mixed up. these two have no fellowship whatsoever. we shun the wrong and do the right and GOD will indeed make a way. He is trying to find a way for us all the time but most of the time we are going astray and too busy thus grieving the Spirit according to Ephesian 4 vs 30,"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit in whom you were sealed for the day of Redemption".
I will remind you of one scripture which says, "AS God's fellow workers we urge you not to recieve God's grace in vain. For he says, 'in the time of my favour i heard you, and in the day of salvation i helped you.' I tell you, now is the time of God's favour, now is the day of salvation." Think about such scrciptures and remember them everytime. we love God because he is GOOD. he knows those that take refuge in him that is Nahum 1 vs 7,"GOD is good, he knows those that take refuge in him."
I say to you today; Hold on to the faith my dear ...lest what you have done for the LORD be counted as nothing at all. Let us approach the throne of GRACE with confidence that we may obtain mercy and more grace to help in times of need. WE NEED JESUS!!!
let me tell you something.............if you need SALVATION. you need it badly.........
