I know of a man who has never married,and the reason may surprise some of you. It seems this man had been close to so many people in his life,but as he got close they perished for some unknown reason.If this would have happened a couple of times to him,it really would not have been a big deal,but this man has had no less then 4 depart from him, as he was willing to draw close to them. The man figured out something from this.
To keep those he loved so much alive, he withdrew from them,many have told the man, it is just a fear that you should not have,but rather then a fear,it has become a reality. And since this great wall is so real to the man,he has never again looked to either climb over it,or look to remove this wall,which may have been there for a purpose he is not aware of.
In each of these 4 examples he never expected anything bad to happen! But after the fourth time,then it hit him! Why? How is it dear Lord Jesus this happens to me? What wrong must I make right? What purpose is it for this man to continue through life knowing that if he were to look to draw near to someone,this would happen yet again? For now in the mans mind and eyes it surly would.
No other words from others could ever change this for the man. No scripture,only God himself could do this. Before brothers and sister we can have an answer from the Lord,we must look to have the correct question. For many, they look all there life to form the correct question to our Lord Jesus,but cannot seem to come up with it.They pray and read God's Word,they look to others to seek if anyone else might have received such a thorn in there flesh?
For the man, this has truly been a very hurtful thorn! It was spoken from the Lord inside a brother, this.( 2 cor 12:9-10) And while grace is always enough,the mind looks for closure upon this thorn,to remove it anyway! The weakness of man is summed up in having such a weakness, that the strength that comes from it,helps focus the man's mind and spirit upon whom he never has any concern over.His Jesus, who cannot die! No matter how close he can become to him.And so this man has done just that!
For the man knows our Jesus cannot die for any reason! And while the man is so very thankful for this,he wonders why it is that so many others who love our Jesus, and look to him can? 2 scripture come to this man from here.( deut 29:29) talking about the secret things belonging to God and rom 8:8 own no one nothing except to love them,even if that love must be from far away,even family is blocked because of this. The man is looked upon as a loner,or perhaps a person who does not really care for people,but the man knows his own heart,even if others do not, or even cannot!
For we brothers and sisters have some of the same secrets as our Father in heaven,not from him of course,but indeed from others. They will never know,and we do not wish for them to know,for it would not edify them,and it would not cause them to grow either. We know in part( 1 cor 13:12-13) we abide in love even though our love to others can only be in part. But from the part we acquire through our Jesus, we know this love is perfect!( 1 cor 13:4-8) and the part we wish to our own love to join Jesus in,can have no part,for it is limited,from self. Our own love has a large divide to which others may never come to understand or even become aware of.
Jesus and his love have no such divide,we can partake fully in this! Which is so very comforting!!( 2 cor 1:3-7) Our life is a story of both becoming a new creature, and in the pages, speaks how this new creature in Christ Jesus has matured and grown,and what is interesting is not so much what each of us can read from the believer,but also what is not written. What is not spoken,and why! I guess that is what makes our life so interesting to each other,and why we always give grace to the reader as well as the author who wrote it. Now to HIM who is able to keep you from stumbling,and to make you stand in the presence of His Glory blameless with great joy,to the only God our Savior,through Jesus Christ our Lord,be GLORY,MAJESTY,DOMINION and AUTHORITY, before all time and now and forever AMEN!( Jude1: 24-25)
