I like writing poems and because I had none to post, I just made this one up. Hope it makes you think!
We sin and hate,
we have no care,
we speak harsh words
in the silent air.
We sit in the dark,
We hate the light,
We loath all peace,
We love to fight.
We don't want hope,
We feed on fear,
And when god speaks,
We do not hear.
But in the dark,
there is a light,
Nailed on a cross,
At the birth of night.
It is there for us,
to change our souls,
to heal our wounds,
and mend our holes.
He is a man,
all free of sin,
And there he hangs,
Gods only kin.
He calls us calls us,
Draws us near,
To right our wrongs,
and calm our fear.
Will you hear him?
Will you turn?
For he will save you,
From Hells burn.
We sin and hate,
we have no care,
we speak harsh words
in the silent air.
We sit in the dark,
We hate the light,
We loath all peace,
We love to fight.
We don't want hope,
We feed on fear,
And when god speaks,
We do not hear.
But in the dark,
there is a light,
Nailed on a cross,
At the birth of night.
It is there for us,
to change our souls,
to heal our wounds,
and mend our holes.
He is a man,
all free of sin,
And there he hangs,
Gods only kin.
He calls us calls us,
Draws us near,
To right our wrongs,
and calm our fear.
Will you hear him?
Will you turn?
For he will save you,
From Hells burn.
