The festive season....whats it all mean.....Its about Jesus....but what about the sad ones at christmas, shouldnt it be a time of celerbration, we are busy checking of our lists making sure everyone has gifts, enough food on the table, stocking fillers, lollies. What about those that woke with nothing, what about those that starved or hungered for love. Then the days to follow the presents are pushed aside the food becomes boring the spirit leaves...all that build up its now all gone. How much effort we each put in to make a perfect day... How much preperation do we make in meeting GOD. how much of the list do we get done for what God wants.
Seriously how many of us would have given up the food we prepared for our big Christmas dinner for the needy. Would you give your most precious gift to one that has none.
There was a young girl that I knew she use to fight some other children for this particular rubbish bin because that family threw out the best food. It was Christmas night and she only wanted one thing for Christmas.... The other street kids asked why are you not fighting for your bin...she replied because my one wish from baby Jesus for christmas was that no one would starve, they replied come lets share the bin so we all have enough.
THis is a true story brothers and sisters and you know on christmas day ever since I became an adult I take half of everything we have and share it with others that dont have and like the fish that fed many our food always goes around. This Christmas because we had it elsewhere I took the ham and gave it to another and the owner asked where it was then I told her I gave it for Jesus, that ham was not missed but loved by many.
Next time your eating or throwing food in the trash think of those that dont have.
