The seal of God

We read in Revelation 7:2-3 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”

We see a sign of this also in Ezekiel 9:4 “And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.”

Before God pours out His wrath upon the world, He will seal His servants in their forehead. So what is being sealed, and how is it sealed? The what is shown in many ways, and the first signs of it are shown in the sign of circumcision, which Paul said was the seal of the righteousness of the faith.

But it is also shown here in Exodus 13:9 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord's law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.”

And the sign of it is also shown here in Deuteronomy 11:18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.”

Notice God said this outward expression was to be for a sign, meaning it would signify the greater spiritual meaning to come in Christ.

But we see it is Gods words, even the law and testimony, that is being bound and sealed in the hearts and minds of Gods disciples as shown here in
Isaiah 8:16
Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.”

God writing and sealing His words on the hearts and minds of His elect was also prophesied to come in the new covenant, shown here in Jeremiah 31:31-34 “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

It is also confirmed here in Hebrews 8:7-12 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

So now that we know it is the law and the testimony of God, or the words of God that are being written on the hearts and minds of Gods elect, how is it sealed?

We are given the answer here in
2 Corinthians 1:22
Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
Ephesians 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 4:30
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

So those who are chosen by God have His words written on their hearts and minds by way of Gods Spirit. They have the Fathers 2 heavenly witnesses dwelling in themselves, which is God’s Word and Spirit.

John said He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself”

This is the New Covenant God said He would make with His people, not written on stone or on paper, but God writing His words upon our hearts and minds by the Spirit of the Living God.

The Holy Spirit is the seal ( God’s righteous mark) of the righteousness of the faith “of” Jesus Christ. This is how God imputs the righteousness of Christ in us, by the Holy Spirit.

This is how God writes upon us the “new name”

The prophecy of the new name…

Isaiah 62
For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.”

This name is the name which Jesus said would be His new name, and that he would also write it upon those who overcome. And here is the name…

Jeremiah 23:6
In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord OurRighteousness.”

And here is the same name given to the saints of the Lord…

Jeremiah 33:16
In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.”

This is what Paul meant when he said put you on the Lord Jesus Christ, like a garment. This garment and name is shown here in

Revelation 19:8
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”

When Jesus came preaching he said to seek the Lord and His righteousness.

This is the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ that Paul spoke of, that is imputed to us as a gift if we believe. And the gift of faith, is the faith of Christ.

Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:”

Romans 5:17

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”

Philippians 1:11

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”

Philippians 3:9

9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

This is the imputed righteousness of God we receive when we are born again of Gods Holy Spirit. We are made righteous by our Maker.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

And if you have been made righteous by the faith of Christ, you will also walk in righteousness as did Jesus Christ.

1 John 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

So put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

As it was in the time of Moses the seal that was above the door the blood of the Lamb where the Calamity that hit Egypt would not affect those with the seal above their door

So it shall be too with those who are faithful to the Lord in this time that we live now because it is the unfolding of Revelations that is taking place and we are about to walk through a good portion of it. Those who are considered the children of God will have the Seal of God on their forehead.

Already the test comes already the false teachers had laid claim to many who will listen to their foolishness.

You listen to the preachers that foam at the mouth at the very thought of the rapture they have put the Rapture before God. And when it does not happen many devout Christians will leave the church and join the One World Church which promises everything and delivers nothing. Many of the preachers that have been preaching the rapture will turn to preaching because you are baptized and a Christian it's okay to take the mark of the beast. Those preachers and anyone who teaches this will surely die in the Flames of hell. Taking the market the beast is a sin against the Holy Spirit.

There are a lot of other false teachings going on but none will impact the Christians as much as this. The pretribulation rapture.

Ephesians 4:30
(AMPC) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [do not offend or vex or sadden Him], by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God's own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin).
(BBE) And do not give grief to the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were marked for the day of salvation.
(GNB) And do not make God's Holy Spirit sad; for the Spirit is God's mark of ownership on you, a guarantee that the Day will come when God will set you free.
(ISV) Do not grieve the Holy Spirit, by whom you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption.
(NIrV) Do not make God's Holy Spirit sad. He marked you with a seal for the day when God will set you completely free.
(NLT) And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.

It's interesting, less than a decade later this was written to the same church.

Rev 2:4; 'But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

It is the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit that illuminates our understanding in Gods words. Paul said in

Ephesians 1:17-18

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”

So without the Holy Spirit you are left in the dark.

Paul said in 1Th 5:19 - Quench G4570 not the Spirit.

Notice the word Quench G4570 is the same as “gone out” in the parable.

Mat 25:8 - And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for ourlamps are gone out. G4570

In Revelation 2:5 Jesus said

5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent”

These were those who had left their first love and had fallen back into sin. They were in danger of having their lights put out.

Being sealed by the Holy Spirit is not the same thing as the mark itself being the Holy Spirit.

1 John 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

So put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:”

Romans 5:17

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”

Philippians 1:11

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”

Philippians 3:9

9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

This is the imputed righteousness of God we receive when we are born again of Gods Holy Spirit. We are made righteous by our Maker.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

And if you have been made righteous by the faith of Christ, you will also walk in righteousness as did Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:17-18

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”

So without the Holy Spirit you are left in the dark.

Paul said in 1Th 5:19 - Quench G4570 not the Spirit.

Notice the word Quench G4570 is the same as “gone out” in the parable.

Mat 25:8 - And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for ourlamps are gone out. G4570

5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent”

These were those who had left their first love and had fallen back into sin. They were in danger of having their lights put out.
