Mark 4:5-6 & Mark 4:16-17

5."Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang
up because it had no depth of earth.
6."But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away.

16. "These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word,
immediately receive it with gladness;
17. "and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when
tribulation or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they stumble.

I remember back in 1999 when I finally {and personally} exsepted The Almighty GOD & Jesus
Christ into my life,

I went to Jehovah in prayer, about the scriptures in Mark 4:5-6 & 16-17 "The seede that fell
on the stony ground." {and I've been Bible Studying for so many months before hand}

As I read the scriptures I felt as though I was reading about myself & it scared me.
Because I was very determined to become holy, to let my love flow & show GOD how much I love
HIM.

But I had {& still have} a lot of immeture bad habits. I couldn't understand why I couldn't
change over night, or should I say with in the 3 months or so that I had been Bible Studying.

So I went to The Almighty GOD in prayer, telling HIM how I felt {at that time}. How I felt
that the scripture related to me, {but I don't mean just me in particular} I remember saying to HIM; "I really want to
turn {change} from my wrongful ways & become righteous in HIS eyes. So, then why can't I change?"

An amazing thing happen {I think was the very next day} my husband & I went for a walk
along a walking trail in the woods, we were heading down ward towards a waterfall, where
water flowed down & over a giant bolder, a awesome sight to see!

But the most awesome sight of all was this other giant bolder that had a tree growing on it.
My husband had pointed it out to me. And immediately I remembered my prayer to The Almighty GOD.

And I believe that Jehovah answered my prayer that day, explaining to me that just because the seeds
that fell on rocky ground doesn't nessasarly meen they all will wither & die, for some can
still find enough soil to make rout, {enough strength to carry on} even if they are weeker than the ones that landed
on soiled ground {weeker than those whom were raised up in the truth}, for it's with all their might & GOD"S Love they will servive & grow ever so strong a tree with lots of stonge branches, too.

* And many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. {Matthew 19:30}

But we must be true to GOD & To HIS Word, Jesus Christ. For with out HIS Food Of Knowledge to give us sight how can we ever find the soil to make root to grow? Remember, Jesus is King, He is also the root grows with in us for He is The Almighty GOD"S Word that feeds us the Food of knowledge that helps us to grow strong & endure to the End.

Let that seed now produce fruits...

Praise the Lord for all the wonders He has done in your life...let the seed now produce abundant fruits...never worry...The Lord will strengthen you and support you..:sun:

The seed that fell on stony ground had a hard time trying to grow. I agree that some seeds may grow on the rocks, but not many.

Some may feel that they struggle following Jesus.

Paul the great Apostle said that he had to "bring his body into subjection......." 1Cor 9:27 He is saying that he had to get a grip of himself to keep on track.

We.........have to cultivate the good ground for the seed. It is an ongoing process, life long in fact.

But as someone wrote....."the longer I serve Him, the sweeter he grows"

What if Christ who loves you, took you from the rocky ground and planted you in His own tender garden? The walk with Jesus is beautiful Jonah2005. He always wants to love us and He is so worthy of being loved. He is our Lord and Saviour and I am sure that you are already sprouting.

Amen: Pixie:love: :rose:

Thank You :)

All of you are very sweet! Thank you all for your wonderful replies. It is so wonderful knowing that there are so many people that care about GOD & HIS Son Christ Jesus. And understand how HE only wants to look out for us - if only we would listen. {Deuteronomy 5:29}

" Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever! "

I am very touched with your personal encounter with the Lord . Yes ! HE is the Root in us and HE has always been there to see us through , to see us grow strong and to see us endure to the end . It's worth the race

Thank you lindadc, it touches my heart too, reading what you said.

GOD is always listening & answering if we are serious about our love for HIM & about Worshiping HIM.

All it takes is just a little patients to wait for HIS answer. And for some reason if HIS answer seems to not come, try picking up the Bible, many times HE has answered my questions that way.

It's an amazing thing! I'll be looking for another scripture to another subject, and out of the blue, HIS answer would come to me to a question I had asked HIM before hand. HE really listens! HE really, really does!

May your walk with The Almighty GOD & Christ Jesus be a Blessed one. *genesis
