My testimony has a lot to do with 'the seeds that fell on stony ground.'

As you'll read pass these scriptures you shall see.

Mark 4:5-6 & Mark 4:16-17

5."Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang
up because it had no depth of earth.
6."But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away.

16. "These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17. "and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they stumble.

I remember back in 1999 when I finally {and personally} accepted Jehovah & Jesus Christ into my life,

I went to The Almighty GOD in prayer, {through our Beloved Savior, Christ Jesus} about the scriptures in Mark 4:5-6 & 16-17 "The seed that fell on the stony ground." {and I've been Bible Studying for so many months before hand}

As I read the scriptures I felt as though I was reading about myself & it scared me. Because I was very determined to become holy, to let my love flow & show GOD how much I love HIM.

But I had {& still have} a lot of immeture bad habits. I couldn't understand why I couldn't change over night, or should I say with in the 3 months or so that I had been Bible Studying {back then}.

So I went to The Almighty GOD in prayer, telling HIM how I felt {at that time}.

How I felt that the scripture related to me, {but I don't mean just me in particular} I remember saying to HIM, that "I really want to turn {change} from my wrongful ways & become righteous in HIS eyes. So, then why can't I change?"

An amazing thing happen {I think was the very next day} my husband & I went for a walk along a walking trail in the woods, we were heading down ward towards a waterfall, where water flowed down & over a giant bolder, a awesome sight to see!

But the most awesome sight of all was this other giant bolder that had a tree growing on it.

My husband had pointed it out to me. And immediately I remembered my prayer to The Almighty GOD.

And I believe that Jehovah answered my prayer that day, explaining to me that just because the seeds that fell on rocky ground doesn't nessasarly meen they all will wither & die, for some can still find enough soil to make rout, {enough strength to carry on} even if they are weeker than the ones that landed on soiled ground {weeker than those whom were raised up in the truth}, for it's with all their might & GOD"S Love they will servive & grow ever so strong a tree with lots of stonge branches, too.

But we must be true to GOD & To HIS Word, Jesus Christ. For with out HIS Food Of Knowledge to give us sight how can we ever find the soil to make root to grow? Remember, Jesus is King, He is also the root grows with in us for He is The Almighty GOD"S Word that feeds us the Food of knowledge that helps us to grow strong & endure to the End.

Nice post! That is the same verse that has bothered me off and on for many years. I have totaly felt like I was the seed that fell on stony ground but had no root. I would rejoice at hearing the Lords word or having a revealation about those words. But I just couldn't seem to hold on to it and I quickley fell away.

At times it seemed Satan reminded me of this verse to make me feel hopeless. But by the grace of God I am slowly taking root.

Even though my faith may have been planted on rocky ground I will do my best to drive my roots right straight through the stone. Its amazing how God speaks to us sometimes, as in your story.

Nice Post.

I'm in the same spot now where you were in your story. Where is this waterfall, I could use some inspiration.:wink:

Hi TimK and Mr. Armenian, Give glory to The Almighty GOD and HIS Son Christ, Jesus, for I believe as long as we keep our faith in them both, GOD, through HIS Son Christ Jesus, will show us the way.

Many times GOD has answered my prayers. And it's an awesome feeling when you know your prayers are being answered.

Stay close to The Almighty GOD & HIS Son Christ Jesus, and they will stay close to you.

Forgive me for taking so long to reply, I don't know why, but I just came across this this morning & the post it self started 01-30-08, 2 years ago!

Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

You see rocky ground but He sees a fruitful field.
Isa 32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

Isn't our God awesome! The river of God can break any fallow ground. Ezekial had a vision of the river of God flowing from the courts of His temple. As one walked in that river it became a driving force that made it impossible to do anything but be swept along in submission to it's power. What an awesome picture of the Holy Spirit working in our life!

Eze 47:1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
Eze 47:2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
Eze 47:3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.
Eze 47:4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.
Eze 47:5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

Hos 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
