In Jerusalem, the LORD of Heaven's Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world. It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat. Isaiah 25:6
A time is coming when God's people will attend a feast made possible by Jesus the Messiah. Jesus referred to this feast in Matthew 8:11 (GW), saying: "I can guarantee that many will come from all over the world. They will eat with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven." It'll be an all-inclusive feast, for both the Jew and the Greek who has called on the name of Jesus.
It should be no surprise that as you currently break bread with friends and family, it leads to some of the most intimate conversations you experience. When you sit down with the intention of pulling away from the cares of this world, you are freer to focus on the people around your table. Imagine having such an experience with the Lord of Armies--the Lord Almighty, the Lord of Hosts--showing His power over all. It will be the ultimate banquet.
Prayer: Lord of Armies, I'm so looking forward to this banquet. Indeed, You are the Lord of Hosts and I'm honored that You cared so much about my attendance that You sent Your only Son to die to pay for my entrance.
