Let them confess and praise Your great name, awesome and reverence inspiring! It is holy, and holy is He! Psalm 99:3 AMPC

Worship is the natural result of taking heart. If you haven’t taken heart, it is hard to see the good things God has already done. You can only concentrate on what you don’t have that you want. You live in a place of discontent. Pessimism may be a perfect description of your emotional state.

You don’t have to minimize the truth of your feelings to acknowledge that there might be a better response. God has already chosen to be near men with broken hearts and crushed spirits. He recognizes your struggle but still says that you should take heart. Why? You’re trusting His response and the outcome He orchestrates. You’re no longer looking at the outcome as something that can’t be known. When God takes over, it will ultimately be good—even if that’s not today.

Worship is the visual and audible expression that demonstrates you have/are taken/taking heart. It’s a testament to the things God is doing to renew your mind, change your perspective, and your heart’s response.

Prayer: Lord, You are good and I don’t thank You enough for Your goodness. I don’t think enough about the wonder of who You are because I spend too much time thinking of my personal struggle. Alter my view, enlarge my heart, and change my mind.
