I don't necessarily think there are 7 years of tribulation about to come up, so that kind of throws a cog in how I think about this. I voted anyway though =)

I don't know exactly when Jesus is coming back. But I don't think there will be a second second coming, if you know what I mean. I think Jesus is only coming back once, if you aren't on his team at that point, it's game over, the wrath of God is about to be poured out upon his enemies. I might be in the minority in my opinion on this one. But I have spent countless hours seeking the Lord on this issue and feel confident in the position I hold to.

Blessings,

Travis

You quoted all the significant scripture, so I will just list some the reasons why I personally feel it is Pre-Rapture:
  • It is the only one which fits into who God is and what he has done.
  • The only one that fits into faith and hope of a future.
  • The only one that makes sense with regard to Jesus gathering his church prior to any of the raptures.
  • Better fits in with the fact that God said he would never leave or forsake me.
  • With him in me, there is no condemnation.
  • Why would he save me for wrath?
  • He protected Noah from the flood
  • I am a child of God.

He didn't yank Noah from the earth to protect him from the flood. Noah's faith for a hundred years is what protected him from the flood. God did not keep Daniel from being tossed into the lion's den, He did not keep Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from being tossed into the fiery furnace.

People that do not believe in the Pretribulation Rapture do not by default believe that we are being preserved for God's wrath either. God's wrath was poured out all around Noah. The entire Bible is full of people that suffered at the hands of someone or something as some sort of test of faith from God and today's "humble" Christian somehow thinks that they are special enough to be treated any differently. It makes no sense to me. It is faith without works so that no man can boast. It is we all suck and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags before God. None are righteous no not one. But, when it comes to talk of the Rapture someone always brings up something that has to do with God treating them special because of what?

The Bible says that Jesus suffered and that all who follow him should arm themselves with the same mindset. He didn't save you from as much as some of you seem to think. He gave you an example to follow to make it through by using faith. Faith is not a one time thing that you muster up one night during a church service after your life became more than you wanted to deal with. It is something that has to be done every single day. God is no respecter of persons and you will get no special treatment because you happened to be born during a time after Jesus died on the cross.

The main reason I think it's pre-trib is because Jesus says no one knows the hour.
If it's after the 7 year tribulation, then everyone will know the hour.
