If this could easily be a page out of your student planner, have you ever considered taking a breather?

In our high-technology world, we have cell phones, beepers, palm pilots, and planner, all in competition to "schedule" our time and attention. Although it's honorable to be organized and efficient in how you spend your time, you also have to guard your time closely so that you don't lose sight of what is really important.

Sure, the schedule above looks pretty good. It has a balance of friends, schoolwork, family time, fun time, and leisure activities (such as track), but it is missing two key ingredients: time with God and time alone.

We get so used to packing our days and nights full of time with people that we forget the goal of a Christian life: to get to know God and make Him known. If you are not spending time with the Lord, you can rest assured your mind is going to be far from Him. And if your mind is far from Him, chances are your witness for Him will not be strong.

When you start your day spending time with God in prayer and Bible study, the rest of your day will be established by Him. Proverbs 16:9 says, "The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps."

So take some time each morning, even if it's just a few minutes, to spend in prayer and Bible study with the Lord.

Another important aspect of slowing down your routine is making sure you have time just to be alone. You can reflect on what God is doing in your life, take time to pursue some outside interests, and evaluate where you're headed.

Reflection (thinking about the past and how God has shown Himself faithful) and projection (thinking about the future and where God is taking you in ministry involvements, school goals, etc.) are two great habits to develop early in life. Try setting aside an hour a week to do this and see what happens. You will likely be less stressed and not feel like you're just wandering through life without direction.

yes, these days people are way too busy for Jesus. they dont realize how much more imprortant it is to spend time with Ur Lord and it's sad. it really is. Jesus loves us so much, did everything for us, and we have no time at all for Him. all He wants is our hearts and our time. and yet, we dont even give Him that...

It's true... I think this is a very common issue.
Everyone in certain moment just forget to put their priorities in order.
Sometimes we all forget that Jesus must be our first priority.
And thinking that "I don't haave time right now, I'll do it later" becomes a more often ocurrent.

We forget that there ir always time for everything.
If you really want to spend time with your Lord, you'll make the time to be with Him.
Besides... with Him we can even make hours become days, this is the Lord
Almighty we're talking about!

I am never to busy for God. As Christians we must never be to busy for God. I spend time with God every minute of the day. Time with God is very importent for me as a Christian.

Well, every little thing from waking up in the morning can be used to give glory to God.
I tend to talk to God throughout my day and trying to restrict use of my laptop in order to spend more time with him.Try and see what you can do that gives glory to him

Giving God control of my life does not mean my thoughts have to be centered on Him at all times. I need always to focus on the task at hand. However, I must have Him on the periphery always so I can communicate with Him when an opportunity or need arises.

God is not a god of convenience, that we only must think of Him or go to Him when we think we need Him, or if it doesn´t hinder our own schedule. If we truly do believe in God, we will deny our own will, and submit to His, and He will be in our thoughts all the day long.

Hi nockdan....How you doing?

that's how I live my life. I am aware of my situation, but I also
keep God there in the mist of it all, so when a situation comes up that requires a choice, I always put God first above anything I would want. I am always on the lookout for an opportunity to
talk about Jesus and His love for us.

You're missing a lot, if you don't study for hours about God's word.

If you don't have time to study, if you have a MP3 player or Ipod, go to torah.tv download there teachings about God, all you have to do is listen.

I wouldn't advise starting out trying to study "for hours". That can be overwhelming to think about. For starters, try avoiding TV and the phone for just fifteen minutes a day and using that time for Bible reading.

Put God first in everything.

If you too busy for God, He will say to you.

God: You need my help? I'm to busy for you. :)

In the end of time, when the Lord God judges us, all our excuses that caused us to exclude Him from our lives will seem nothing short of selfish. Reading the Bible is imperative to all believers. There are other ways to connect with God, talk to Him whenever and where ever you are. Even when I'm buying something simple as a shirt I ask God which one.. Doesn't really matter, God desires a relationship with His children.

(Mark 5:25 [ESV])
And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years,

26
and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse.

27
She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind Him in the crowd and touched his garment.

28
For she said, “If I touch even His garments, I will be made well.”

29
And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.

30
And Jesus, perceiving in Himself that power had gone out from Him, immediately turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched My garments?”

31
And His disciples said to Him, “You see the crowd pressing around You, and yet You say, ‘Who touched me?’”

33
And He looked around to see who had done it.

33
But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

34
And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

Do you know why Jesus kept pressing who touched Him? It's not because He didn't already know who touched Him. Of course He does, He's God! He pressed the issue because He wanted a relationship with this woman. Again God desires a relationship with us all. So it is mandatory that you aren't ever too busy for Him. For one can give without loving but one cannot love without giving. If you are not giving your time to glorify God, how can you even claim to love Him? When we gave our lives to Jesus, we no longer live our lives for ourselves but live our lives for Him. We owe Him our lives because He gave His perfect life up for us. Our Lord Jesus was crucified, when one says crucified, do not take this word lightly. Crucified comes from excruciating. This means our Perfect Sinless Lord Jesus went through and excruciatingly painful sinners death on our behalf. Which showed how much He loves us. Get to know Him by talking to Him everyday, because I'm of the opinion that we can't really love whom we do not know. And the Lord Jesus deserves our unconditional love in return.

Please do this for the Lord.

In Him,
Lili.
