Tormented by Bad Thoughts

Hello everyone,

I have a lot of time to think at my job. I'm a Receptionist and there is not a lot of work to do. As I started reading the Word, I began to reflect on my sins and how evil they are and how much I offended God. Since then, I have been dealing with intrusive thoughts about how bad and despicable I am. The thoughts never stop during the day. It feels like I am tormented by demons. Thoughts?

OK! It's "game on!" Since you made the choice to "reflect," the Holy Spirit is bringing conviction on you, so now this is your opportunity to confess those sins and repent of them, EACH AND EVERY ONE, EVERY TIME they are brought to mind. This closes the door to Satan and his boys, cleans up your vessel, and thus allows the Holy Spirit to work more closely with you as you go through the sanctification process.

However, if you don't act on the prompting, then yes, the demons will bring condemnation and torment you because you have not closed those open (sin) doors.
