Might be best to move this one to polls forum searchforbelievers you will get more answers.

Sometimes its a bit like preaching to the choir on TJ but then other times you dont know where people are at so people could be evangelising or they could be exhorting.

For me its not about other people responding to an outward display but what God says thats important, mens praises can be empty esp if they are out to flatter to get something from you...also what kinds of things do you mean by 'displays of christianity'?! Isnt our life hidden in Christ. Colossians 3:3

The interpretation is left to the reader to answer, as to what it is they think an outward display of Christianity is.

No!
My Salvation and Walk in Christ is far more Important and Holy then to base it on other people.

Other people's heads is no place for me to find my peace in Christ.

To please God is Wisdom
To please people is dangerous
Blessings

There is a fine line between "outwardly showing righteousness".. for the sake of appearing righteous... and doing really righteous things for the sale of God.

1 Jn 3:10; By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

1 Jn 3:17; But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?

1 Jn 4:20; If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Our salvation depends on how we treat our neighbors... is that an outward display?

Gal 1:10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
