My dearest Brethren,
Since the republic of Congo became independent we are confronted with the main matter or problem of tribalism. From the first president until now we're living and struggling with facing tribalism. And, especially the war is opposing the people from teh North and those from the South. And what we're living now here in our country is theresult of what we are resposible for. We've got to get out from trisbalism. Personnally I don't appreciate the way the Church is not getting involved into promoting peace and war against tribalism.
Please pray for our country so that we be a real nation and more than being a stat only.
As a teacher I am, our school system is not good and when teaching we dont choose pupils from where we're from. In the contrary we teach all pupils from the whole congo whaterver they be from the North or the South. Politicians are not concerned since getting the power is the main for them. Otherwise they had to promote the fight against tribalism through education.
Christ Jesus came and gave His life for everyone who accepts Him as one's saviour and Lord. He also died so that whoever belived in Him in Congo gets everlasting life. There are lots of Christians in Congoso the country is to be His. Unfortunately, our country is arked with armed conflicts. In 1992-1993 a civil war started after the president dismissed all members of the Parliament because he hadn't the majority. Then we entered ina conflict opposing people from the South amongst themselves; and the worse was that in some places babies were pounded. And, unfortunately that painfuland sad event was reminded in some public notices during the compaign for the presidency of the republic, and alerting the people about the danger to return to it in case they will vote for an opponent. The compaign was quiet, but the atmlosphere wasn't good since all opponents weren't allowed to do compaighn throughout the whole country.
Some people was saying that they can't leave the power to an opponent and one of them betrayed them because he joined the opposition. How can we rebuild our country when living into tribalism?
The Holy Bible says:
"For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!" - Romans 5:10 NIV.
"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
When we need recruitment, recruiters demand money in exchange and even for teachers we are so that our file be quickly taken in consideration. And the qorse is that you can't be recruited if you're not from a common department or corner (territory) or ethny in Congo. This behaviour won the majority of people while Congo is known to be christianized in its majority. Congolese people lack True Love. And even though The Holy Bible says again:
"4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away"
-1 Corinthians 13:4-8, New International Version - UK (NIVUK)-
And:
"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."
We need to change our mind so that we see and experience GOD's Will daily into serving Jesus Christ truly. And without forgiveness we never can live neither experience reconciliation. And, about forgiveness the Holy Bibles says the following:
Sin, faith, duty
1Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.
2 It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied round their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 So watch yourselves.
‘If your brother or sistera]">[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.
4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying “I repent,” you must forgive them.’
-Luke 17:1-4, New International Version - UK (NIVUK)-
We should be able and available to forgive and accept others as they are and pray for all those who don't know Christ Jesus yet because:
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law"
-Galatians 5:22-23, New International Version - UK (NIVUK)-
THANKS FOR KEEPING ON PRAYING FOR ALL CHRISTIANS IN CONGO AND SHALOM TO YOU!!!
