Hey guys. I'm fairly new here, but I felt I should post what I have learnt this week in this section.
I've been having a pretty rough week and decided to open my Bible to learn a lesson or two, and this is what I've learnt.
Luke 12:3 'whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in hidden places will be proclaimed from the housetops'.
No matter how holy we may appear in life, around people and also on websites, we all have moments when we're alone and no one knows what were doing. At these times, whenever we fall to sin, we may feel that it is not such a grave sin since no one knows about it and you can just go confess it easily and maybe even do it again next time. However, this passage is a passage to fear! WHAT YOU DO BEHIND CLOSED DOORS WILL BE REVEALED! Then, from this day forward, DO GREAT THINGS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS! so that, when your actions are revealed, you show that you do not only worship your Lord through words, but also by actions.
12:8 'I tell you, if anyone openly declares himself for me in the presence of human beings, the Son of man will declare himself for him in the presence of God's angels. But anyone who disowns me in the presence of human beings will be disowned in the presence of God's angels.
Wow!!! There are people living in today's world, that risk their life if they openly declare themselves men of God. And still they do! And so us, who live in stable societies, only risk ridicule and discomfort. Jesus, when he was taken to the Sanhedrin, knew he would have to die, but that did not stop Him from denying his divinity. And a prayer I have recently discovered is :
"When I deny myself, I am hiding you because you are in my uniqueness. Teach me not simply to follow everyone else but to make my own path in life. Amen"
Glory be to God
"Be strong and do not relax, for your work shall be rewarded" 2 Chronicles 15:7.
Remember my friends, Life is tough, but everything passes. It's only the first 100 years that are the hardest HEhe God Bless you All! :boy_hug:
