Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? Isaiah 53:1
In answer to the second question, Isaiah 51:10 says, "The Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God." Jesus' ministry, miracles, and crucifixion were front-page news. As Paul told King Agrippa, "This thing was not done in a corner" (Acts 26:26).
But in answer to the first question--"Who has believed our report?"--the answer is a little sadder. John says, "Despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done, most of the people still did not believe in him" (John 12:37 NLT). Even astonishing miracles couldn't persuade them to trust that He was the Messiah if they ignored the evidence.
What about you? Do you trust Jesus in every area of your life? You trust what He says to receive eternal life (John 6:63), but do you trust what He says about the need to love your neighbor, forgive family members, or follow His teachings on financial matters? Or do you find yourself picking and choosing?
To "trust" means to put confidence in. Do you have confidence that Jesus knows what He's talking about in all matters?
Prayer: Jesus, I believe You're the Savior. Help me to trust You in all areas of my life. Help me to surrender daily to You. Amen.
