Along the path of righteousness we will always have the devil standing on the side lines throwing out those pebbles to cause us to stumble and bruise our feet. He will throw the pebble of strife, bitterness and many others but through faith prayer and walking in spirit and truth we can walk over those pebbles and they will become as sand beneath our feet.
God will empower us if we allow him to work in us and if we work together in unity.
Jesus wants us to operate as one.
The devil only comes to bring lies and destruction. He doesn’t want us to work together he wants us to feel burdened and heavy hearted . How can we change those pebbles to sand if we don’t work as one .
Jesus spoke of peace love and forgiveness . He knew we could not operate with out one another . All though we are all different in many ways we are all the same in the body of Christ . We may each have a different calling of some sort . But we cant operate in the spiritual world if we are not in unity . Perseverance is the way. In spite of difficulties and differences . The bible says : in palms 133:1
How good and pleasant it is
when brothers live together in unity!
2 It is like precious oil poured on the head
Rom 15:5-6
5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you want those stones and pebbles to grow to be boulders or do you want them to become as sand beneath your feet . Although we could just easy walk over the pebbles and stones and even walk around those huge boulders along the way it would be so much more a victory to destroy them all together so they wont be a stumbling block for the next brother and sister that comes along the path . The word also says love your brother as you love Christ and to forgive those who persecute you.
I know that we have to be in one mind and that mind needs to be of Christ for us to fight the spirit of strife. Maybe some of you think that well its not so easy to forgive someone when you have been hurt or humiliated by the individual. Why isn’t it? Jesus was beaten bruised pierced and hung on a cross with nails all for us to be forgiven . Hw hard is it to swallow a little pride to
Defeat the enemy! And I will say this its a lot easier to forgive imperfection then to carry strife and malice in our hearts. Not only will we come out in the long run victorious but we will receive perfect peace. We will never always agree with one another in issues but I can say this as well its not our place to judge a brother or sister we should let holy spirit convict them and not us .
A conviction from the holy spirit will be more effective then anything we could say or do.
Now I am not saying ignore sin and wrongness. I am saying allow Holy Spirit to work through you to be salt and Light . So you may be a witness and not a cause of heavy hearted ness . Always pray for your brother or sister in Christ and ask for Guidance from Holy Spirit before you approach a matter. Then fallow what your led to do. If they reject what the Lord has guided you to do then walk away from it and let them know hey brother or sister I love you I don’t agree with what you feel but regardless I do love you and I am here for you . Then let God do the rest .
