Turtle Shell

Do you ever feel sad for some unknown reason?
while you are just wondering,
If your friends, neighbors, and family members
will come to know Him as Lord

Will they come to Him before
the anti-Christ comes into power,
Will they see the Truth
and will I point them toward the truth.

Will I ever really come out of this shell
If it's a turtle shell, then that's fine
Because inside that shell is
the Word of God

And the Word is fire-breathed
It's all I need to
Communicate His love
and pray for the broken

So why worry if I'm
good enough
When I'm equipped with a
Power-pack already.

Like a turtle I roam the earth
With God's Word hidden in my (heart) shell
Why hide His word when He
wants me to bring out His light

Hide it under a bushel, No!
Hide it under church events or friendships, No!
Hide it under busyness or job, No!
I'm gonna let it shine

Let it shine,

Why search for a purpose when
I already have it

Don't have to have my whole dream in place
Before I shine
Don't have to have the building and the equipment
'Cause I'm already equipped

A turtle
walking slowly
trying not to be noticed
sometimes smiling

I reach out to someone
Then when I notice people are looking at me
I go back into my shell
When God wants me to keep His shell open

For all to see,
For not too long from now,
He will come and call all of His people
Home.

It is so easy to worry and be concerned about how we present ourselves

O to drop these worries and grasp the wonderful truth that the Lord has equipped us already and provided us with His power pack

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Yes, Fragrant Grace. I was very shy as a child and sometime I still go back into that mode. I reached out to some strangers at Wendy's today, after ladies bible study and people were staring at me and even a lady from our bible study said that I shouldn't, that I was making people upset. But I did it anyway. And then I sat down and sort of shrunk into myself. It bothers me too much when other Christians don't appreciate me using the gift of encouragement that God gave to me. Why should we just keep our light to our own little group at the Wendy's restaurant? We just studied the book of Revelations an hour ago, and already we go back into ourselves and our clique and our friendships?

I want a different daily life. A daily life where I have the opportunity to encourage people every day, whether I've ever met them or not. But until that ministry comes into the physical, I will open up my turtle shell and shine!!! For I am equipped with His Word hidden in my heart and His love, truth, and power!!! Amen! And the very same goes for each of you reading this! Don't give up!!!

Don't give up, because if Jesus had given up, where would you and I be?

Your words have powerfully touched my heart.

If I am honest and very sadly I have found it easier to 'give up' on family than to share the gospel with them....because it seems too 'hard and fruitless' to deal with anti Christian atheist arguments.

O Lord melt our hearts with powerful compassion for the lost in our lives....that we may shine Your glorious love and truth.....with no barriers

Your words again have really touched something deep within my heart.
Thanking the Lord for working through you in this way sister

It can be so hard (for me) to say those three little words 'I love you' to family members
Especially to those who are bitter and hard against the Christian faith

Yet sharing those words and being bold enough to share the love of Jesus could melt those hearts and lead a lost soul to the Lord.

O Lord let Your beautiful love burn brightly in our timid hearts
Let us be bold for Jesus and breathe out His love everywhere
