Unable to get into chat

Hi,

Almost every time I try to get into chat, it just won't load. I know it does work on my computer with the current settings, etc, since I did get in a few times. But most times, I'm not able to get in.

Hi,

I had this problem as well when I first signed up, and I know having Java enabled is important. If you PM the Mods they can help you with further with this.

Make sure you have java plugin enabled.

Have you also tried another browser? I recommend Firefox.

I have the java plug-in and I have gotten in before a couple of times, most times I'm unable to though. I have chrome and I've gotten into chat on chrome as well. But I'm on chrome now and most times I can't get in.

Recently some browsers have disabled certain versions of Java.

I had to upgrade my java in Chrome and Firefox before I get back into Chat.

My java is upgraded and has been upgraded... so I know it's the latest update or whatever, and I still cannot get in, I just tried it a minute ago.

Please email me at chad @ talkjesus.com a screenshot of the chat screen. Does the music player appear on the left side at least?

Also in the email include the following info:
- browser(s) you've tried and their version numbers
- any browser extensions installed
- any antivirus / spyware programs you're running

This will help me trace the problem.

I do not feel comfortable emailing, and I don't know how to do screenshots, but I do get the music player and I get the usual message at the top:

Everything else is normal except the chat are does not load. That area just stays white. I've only tried it on Chrome, the version is: 18.0.1025.162

I don't understand what you mean by the extensions though. And the antivirus I have is Norton 360.

I did earlier suggest you try another browser. Try another browser and it just might work. Other than that, I cannot help you further since I do not see what you see.

Watchtower, try Firefox as Chad recommended, it is a great alternative to Chrome. Browsing the net is easy and quite simple to configure with multiple add-ons. I would have my guess you would get into chat if you tried it. All the best.
