Visitations in dreams

Hi everyone, I wanted to find a place to share my experiences with dream visions as I’m looking for some guidance really.
I’ve been having dreams of a warning for the future, but last night I had a visitation from Jesus Christ our lord saviour, I was in an empty place the only colours I could see were black and red, in front of me was the cross but all I could see were Jesus feet, I reached out to touch then it moved, it was as if it was laying flat, then on my left Jesus appeared before me, knelt down beside me looking into my eyes with a smile, then he put his arm around my shoulders and spoke, but I couldn’t hear anything, he was glowing white with gold ribbons and tassels, his hair was past his shoulders and neatly combed back, he did not have a beard, then all I could feel was the most intense feeling of love and peace right into my very soul and core, it was so empowering I woke still feeling the same sensation, like a heat radiating from inside, I was moved to tears.
I would love to hear of your experiences and help me understand this

I have had a number of what I call God dreams. I know they are from God because they usually teach me something and I can remember them when I wake. I not always understand the meaning of them immediately but I pray and ask God to show me and he does. Mostly they are about things we all need to learn and I sometimes share with others when I feel it's appropriate. The important thing though is to not interpret them ourselves but let him show us. There have been a few dreamers in the scriptures and I believe that God still uses dreams. One dream I had wasn't like the others though, I dreamt I needed to pray for the Queen so I woke and prayed and the next day she was shot at while riding her horse in a military parade but she was unharmed. Always ask God for the interpretation. If the dream came from him he will tell you what it means.

Hi Whitefire. Welcome. So I am not sure if I can give you the best guidance when it comes to dreams...I've made mistakes with them. Past year has been a bit like a crash course in them...As for prophetic ones, if someone tells you there is a prophetic warning in your dream and you, as the receiver, do not know anything about the subject matter, I'd be careful okaying it's use if you are not the one interpreting. Feelings lie. And if you are wanting to warn people about something, I think it way best to give the warning without the dream and not use that as the basis of the claim.

But as your dream shows, and as Pearl said, I really do believe God teaches us with them too. I sort of regret not sharing more of my experiences, but I was born and raised Baptist. I never believed in this sort of thing that God speaks to us in our dreams...but I do believe He does. I'll just share one experience in particular I felt God really was trying to teach me with.

These were visions I had last year in the middle of the night over three nights:

First night: I saw a red net over my room's ceiling.

Second night: I saw some things I like burned into the wall (like harry potter)

Third night: I woke up and a red blotch was in front of me. Paint and blood came to my mind. It was dark red. It rose up above my head like a tent. It sort of pointed/tunneled into the ceiling.

I looked over to my husband up in bed, then back up, and it was gone.

Interpretation: I think I know what this meant...this is at least what I gleaned... The net/room was my mind and things like "hogwarts" burned into the wall was stuff I put into my mind. The blood was Jesus telling me to cover my mind/guard my heart I believe. Be careful what I let into it. The net was like anxiety, and many times, what we let into our minds as believers cause things like anxiety and depression, as innocent as that can seem...

It just really had me think about stuff I let into my mind and gave up Harry Potter among other things.

Anyway, continue to pray for guidance, but always search out God's Word first on matters, because that is His love letter to us. Dreams can vary and be unclear. God's Word never fails and provides everything we could ever need. God bless. Welcome!

We must be very careful in the description of who it is that appears in our dreams, for Satan himself disguises himself as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14. I've never imagined Jesus as clean shaven, since the beard is "something manly, natural, severe, despised, and austere." That the man in your vision was clean shaven may be a clue that the vision you had was not of Jesus but of someone else - a deceiver.

There may well be layers of meaning that will be revealed in time. Meanwhile, don't overlook the obvious elements: Jesus is beside you, he brings peacefulness, he brings love.

I do not interpret this as a spiritual dream from Jesus - there does not seem to be any direction to you concerning the gospel and salvation.
Jesus without a beard - hhhmmm - something not right there.
Normally I find spiritual dreams are not so symbolic or mysterious that one cannot fathom some meaning or a revelation from such.

For example, one dream had me inside a white fencing arena (similar to a horse training arena) and there was a lion prowling around coming ever so slowly toward me. I tried to escape by going through a gate but the gate kept moving,
and I could not escape from the arena. Meanwhile this lion kept circling around me and moving in closer and closer.
Then I woke up. Thinking about all of this - and spiritual dreams tend to be very vivid and memorable - I examined myself against the moral principle of the story in this dream.
It did not take long to own up to a drift back into a bad sinful habit, smoking marihuana again, to realise that God was telling me in this dream that I had placed myself in danger with the devil as a prowling lion coming in for the kill.
The gates were not available while I was sinning and keeping myself in this spiritual danger. I have never ever smoked another joint or bong since then, and I am no longer in any arena. - Narrow is the gate ...

I guess judging the fruits of anything, including dreams, is important. If something produces good fruit in your life, it is probably God talking with you. As for this dream...What sticks out to me is Jesus feet, clean shaven, and the peace and joy in His arms. I think it is important to rest at Jesus feet and know that He deeply loves you and wants you to rest in Him, White fire. The more you abide in the love and joy of God and His Word, the happier you will be. It takes a degree of humility to do this for sure... But Jesus humbled Himself for us. I'd abide in God's Word, and if a dream gives an analogy or warning to back up what the Bible tells you, then hold it close. That is special and can help others too.

The devil won't ever give you something that is going to help you. It is when something causes you to stumble you have to watch out.
