visits from those who have passed from this life

First time i put a thread so this is a really important question ??
My daughter came to visit last week and said her nan (my mom a believer in jesus
also now left to be with the Lord )
had visted her in the night as clear as day she said, and told her a message for me and a private message for her, so alarm bells ringing !
as in scripture i read the rich man and the begger .
secondly
my husband same week says he heard his mom (also left this life)
speak a message which he heard but did not see her.
now again he told me in part what the message was and part was private.
so just for background info both my daughter and husband are quite rebellious as to Gods word and will ( pains me deeply to say this but true ,same spirit exactly same traits ) so with this to mind also i would really really appreciate clarity in this matter scripturally,
as its a hard thing for me as its so personal being my mom and my mom in Law ,
who i miss greatly and its troubling me as i cant say to either my hubby or daughter thats deception or quote scripture.
I just listened and was at first oh right, but no peace at all now ive thought on things.
ill await Godly discernment from ye saints as i trust you will know full truth of the matter from Gods revealed word
and you are outside of my situation, so a clearer perspective than me on this question Thankyou and

I cannot definitely tell you the answer, because God did not share with me the answer, but if they are quite rebellious to God's word and will, my first thought would be that they are making stuff up to show you that you have faith in nothing but hearsay. If God has a message for you, and you are open to hear it, it will come to you either in person or another believer most probably.

you did right you listen, now move on and give it not another thought.. and treat it as "they had a dream" and nothing more. And just keep doing what you have been doing, With no distractions. for those who have dreams, let them keep their dreams and those who have my word let them keep my word.
