The Bible tells us that if we would walk in the light as he (God) is in the light that we will have fellowship with one another....” (1 John 1:7) Knowing God personally (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) comes to a born again Christian by walking in the light of God's Glory.
God is light, and he surrounds himself in a light like a cloak. The light that God surrounds himself in is Jesus Christ, who is also known as the Glory of the Father! Before anyone can walk in the light as he is in the light, he must also become light!!!
Remember this saying.....
1Jn 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that GOD IS LIGHT, AND IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL.
God is light and there can be no “darkness” in God! Every spiritual being must also become a light being before it can dwell within another light being as there can be no darkness in God!!
Eph 5:8 For YE WERE SOMETIMES DARKNESS, BUT NOW ARE YE LIGHT IN THE LORD: walk as children of light:
The Kingdom of Light must also have its citizens be beings of light, along with its creator who dwells in, and is light!!
Jesus once said.....
John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. WHOEVER FOLLOWS ME WILL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, BUT WILL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE.”
The purest form of life which is light is eternal and is only found in God who is light!
A citizen of light must also wear robes that cover their spiritual body!
The Kingdom of Light must have all of its citizens to be arrayed in Light.
Talking about the Church the Apostle John said.....
Rev 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
We normally think of “WHITE” LINEN as being the color white. The Greek word used here for white is, “LAMPROS” We get our English word, “LAMP” from this word. A lamp is a “LIGHT BULB” that shines forth light! The white linen that Saints wear are robes of “LIGHT”!!! No wonder as God wraps himself in light, so he has declared his saints also to wrapped in light!!
In the beginning, we read that God said, “lET THERE BE LIGHT”........God saw that the light was good, and called the “LIGHT” “DAY”, and the “DARKNESS” he called “NIGHT”. We try and make up all kinds of logical thinking as to what exactly God was doing here. Not until we get into the New Testament do we find that answer.
2Co 4:6 FOR GOD, WHO COMMANDED THE LIGHT TO SHINE OUT, OF DARKNESS, HATH SHINED IN OUR HEARTS, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
1Th 5:5 YE ARE ALL THE CHILDREN OF LIGHT, AND THE CHILDREN OF THE DAY: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
This is talking about the coming of the Lord Jesus, (the rapture) and it says we are the children of LIGHT, and of the DAY...
In Genesis God called the “LIGHT”, “DAY” and the “darkness” he called “night”.The “light” that God commanded, in the beginning, is the same light that is giving light to every man who comes into this world!!!
Speaking about John the Baptist.....
John 1:8 He was not that Light but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John 1:9 That was the true Light, WHICH LIGHTETH EVERY MAN THAT COMETH INTO THE WORLD.
This light that God commanded, in the beginning, gives life eternal has appeared unto ALL men, so that man would have no excuse not to believe that God exists!!
Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to ALL MEN,
Walking in the “LIGHT” is connected to knowing and understanding the Gospel that brings the light of life through the good news.
2Ti 1:9 WHO HATH SAVED US, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which WAS GIVEN US IN CHRIST JESUS BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN,
2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by THE APPEARING OF OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, who hath abolished death, and HATH BROUGHT LIFE AND IMMORTALITY TO LIGHT THROUGH THE GOSPEL:
The light commanded by God in the beginning before the world began is the same light that Jesus brought to us that gives life, and immortality to light through the Gospel!!!
