A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said: ‘Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I’m pregnant again. I don’t want kids so close together.’ So the doctor said: ‘OK, and what do you want me to do?’ She said: ‘I want you to end my pregnancy, and I’m counting on your help with this.’

The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: ‘I think I have a better solution for your problem. It’s less dangerous for you too.’ She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request. Then he continued: ‘You see, in order for you not to have to take care of 2 babies at the same time, let’s kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we’re going to kill one of them, it doesn’t matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.’ The lady was horrified and said: ‘No doctor! How terrible! It’s a crime to kill a child!’ ‘I agree’, the doctor replied. ‘But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.’ The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.

He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that’s already been born and one that’s still in the womb. The crime is the same! If you agree, please SHARE. Together we can help save precious lives! Love says, ‘I sacrifice myself for the good of the other person.’ Abortion says, ‘I sacrifice the other person for the good of myself.”

This is a good story almost like the scenario King Solomon faced with two women claiming to the mother of an infant. In the case of the unborn, they were not protected by Law until 2005 because of political pressure related to the death of a pregnant Laci Peterson. The living toddler would be protected by Law because of its citizenship.

Psalm 139:13-16
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Even the unborn baby is written in God's book of life.

i can't recall if it was a friend of mine who said he'd been taken back to before he was born, or if he was telling me about someone else's testimony.
all i know is i can almost feel something is pulling me back that far. it is as if i never belonged on this planet in the first place.

I was thinking the same thing in regard to the King Solomon story!

An interesting story, but hypothetical of course, because life is not like that.
Every circumstance is different, we cannot possibly judge anyone without knowing all the facts. I am certain no woman goes through an abortion without serious consideration.
In basis of course taking a life, especially one unborn, is wrong. Yet simplistic judging is not helpful.
I would say to any woman, seek proper counselling calmly and clearly before doing anything. Also to pray to God for guidance.

I mean have you been in such a situation, where you are pregnant and panicking? Not knowing how to deal with it? So we shouldn't rush to judge others.

Just because a women is fearful about a pregnancy doesnt make it right to kill the child.....ever!!

No, life is sacred. Yet the full circumstances should be taken into account before judging someone. People and lives are never simple.
I have never faced having an abortion. I do not imagine it being easy.

Not being mean spirited, but abortions used for birth control is like closing the barn door after the animals have already escaped. People are going to do what they want regardless of rules or lack of rules. That's human nature. It isn't always the woman who wants the abortion. It's a bit awkward because a democracy may allow it solely because the people as a quorum desire it. Or, they may forbid it. We live in a world where we have made such things tidy and routine. Prior to that, the newborn child would be killed. We live in a world where men can become the daughters their mothers never had, and women can become the sons their fathers never had. Well, in theory. With that rationale governing society, it leaves the door open for a society dictated by demanding little children pushing "I want, I want, I want". I have my doubts the Good Lord had that planned as a blessing. I'm just an old sailor. What do I know? Phil 4:8.

Its not judgement, thats up to God, but facts are facts regardless of problems that would arise because of pregnancy. If someone murdered someone you love, would it be judgemental to say thats wrong?

Of course, yes murder is wrong.
Yet things are never easy. Every day wars are happening, soldiers kill the 'enemy' in legalised sanctioned murder. Enemy decided by politicians, men following orders, using weapons supplied. Murder on a grand scale, acceptable by the majority as 'necessary'. Returning soldiers who killed many others are greeted as heroes not murderers.

What if a young woman is in the middle of training to be a doctor or scientist, a brilliant career ahead. Then she makes a mistake by being seduced? Must she throw her career away by choosing motherhood, even single motherhood? It takes a lifetime to raise children properly. Yes killing others is wrong but it is a very personal decision on ethics, morals, many factors.
So, not clear cut to be human. God sees all hearts and motives clearly, so He alone may judge.

Unless, of course, they were Vietnam Veterans. THEN different rules applied, and they were despised murderers.

Typical "Pro Choice rehetoric". "Makes a mistake", instead of Wilfully engaged in a sexual act, known to have likely circumstances connected thereto. and choosing for their own convenience to hire a professional MURDERER to take care of the problem quickly and economically.

And of course you jump to the EXTREME - "trying to be a doctor" / "raped by a motorcycle gang" / "Sexually abused by a parent" etc. This, when we BOTH KNOW that the vast majority of abortion murders, are only matters of simple convenience for the parent(s) - "A form of Birth Control" as it were.

I am thankful for that, that He alone may judge. The rest is still a "but this is different" sort of excuse.

Oh yes, you are right. Very likely a sizable proportion of abortions will be due to lust and carelessness. Yet the law must somehow deal with it. We must safeguard both women and the unborn. We do not want a return to the brutal extremely dangerous abortions carried out by anyone other than proper doctors. The suffering used to be terrible. Women died in agony. That serves no good purpose either.
In basis my view is that it is an appalling thing to kill a baby or any human life. The ideal is adoption or other way to preserve and nurture new lives.
