My reason for asking is because after his calling the other ones were called by men.
Paul himself installed Timothy with the laying on of hands.
I believe it was Titus Paul told to install Elders(Pastors) in all the churches.
And in the requirements the scripture says in the book of Timothy,"If a man "DESIRES" the office of Bishop. Not if God calls a man to the office of Bishop.
So is it if you have the desire,or does the Lord call? I am now ready for my daily beating. Also....
Today preachers are called by men. You have to go through a seminary take Hebrew latin greek and if you pass the mustard, they will lay hands on you and then you are an ordained minister. Churches that ordain their own, still do the laying on of hands. Paul said,"I am a called apostle not by men by the laying on of hands but of God". So where does that leave those saying they are "God called" today?
