My reason for asking is because after his calling the other ones were called by men.
Paul himself installed Timothy with the laying on of hands.
I believe it was Titus Paul told to install Elders(Pastors) in all the churches.

And in the requirements the scripture says in the book of Timothy,"If a man "DESIRES" the office of Bishop. Not if God calls a man to the office of Bishop.
So is it if you have the desire,or does the Lord call? I am now ready for my daily beating. Also....
Today preachers are called by men. You have to go through a seminary take Hebrew latin greek and if you pass the mustard,they will lay hands on you and then you are an ordained minister. Churches that ordain their own,still do the laying on of hands. Paul said,"I am a called apostle not by men by the laying on of hands but of God". So where does that leave those saying they are "God called" today?

Hmmm.... using this logic... does God call people to be saved today?

1Pet 2:9; But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Jude 1:1; Jude, a bond-servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are the called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ:

1Cor 1:26; For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;
Eph 1:18; I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Eph 4:1; Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,
Eph 4:4; There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;
2Thes 1:11; To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power,
2Tim 1:9; who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,

Apparently the entire churches at Corinth, Ephesus, and Thessalonica were called. As well as Timothy who you already mentioned.
Does that mean no one is called anymore? God doesn't talk to people anymore?

2Pet 1:10; Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;
