Hi,
My cousin has been living in England for a year now, she stayed about 6 months with us before moving out. The problem is that (this is going to sound harsh, but) she has proven to be something of an idiot. After coming here, she spoke quite a few times with my mother (who is very knowledgable) about God and Christianity. She seemed to take it in for a while. However, it has taken long for her to go completely off the rales. She is currently in debt, has a massive ego problem, interferes and corrupts other peoples lives (some being very serious), and constantly puting herself in danger, whether it be drugs, alchohol abuse, or just picking on the wrong people. Her mother is adamant that there isnt a problem and its looking very grim for her as she faces the very real possibility of being sacked in the next few weeks. My family and I dont know what to do and to be honest we have virtually stopped caring. I find it difficult to communicate with her and more importantly God at present. So for her own sake, since she has already given her life to God last year, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could pray for her. I believe that God has other plans for her, but, without proper guidance due to negligant parenting she has beem left wide open and blown off course despite our best efforts. Sorry for the essay, I was planning on keeping this short so Ill end here, lol. Thankyou for your time.

warm regards

Hi Eclipe,

I certainly will pray for your cousin. Growing up takes time and I know for sure that your cousin will mature soon. You said that she gave her live to the Lord so be encouraged in that hope. Your mother has planted the seed and He has not forgotten your cousin if she thinks she has.

"Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:4 (NIV)

God bless,
Snowrose

Yes it is difficult to see people we love and care about do foolish and harmful things to themselves.
Your cousin is young and wayward as you put it. She is truly blessed that she has you and a family that cares about her. Please do not give up on her. Your cousin needs lots of love and encouragement and building up.

And Eclipse you said you are finding it difficult to be close to the Lord right now. The enemy is using this situation to tell you that your cousin is a waste of time, that your prayers don't mean anything. Don't Listen!

Luke18:1 Jesus says always pray and not faint, do not give up.

Also celebrate that your cousin gave her life to the Lord last year. Thank God for His Grace and Mercy. Trust in God that He is able to draw your cousin back to Him.

Galatians:9-10 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the
proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

There is hope, lots of hope Eclipse.
I will pray for you and family
God Bless you
 Calluna
