well brothers and sisters. I have something that we all need to think about. please read and tell me what yoru thoughts are.

WE NEED THAT PASSION FOR GOD. I came on here one night and mentioned that some people I know had given their lives to Christ, no responce.

yes most of us are born again and love God. But we need that Passion.
we need to jump for joy when we hear things like this.

this is only an example.

we need to excited about the word of God. And I'll be honest with you all... its hard to find people with that passion. Wether its here or in my neigborhood or at my church.

its time to get serious. God is amazing, he is absolutly wonderful!!

So many people are searching for God but dont know how to find him. they have that hunger for him and are desperate to seek him. We need to share Gods word with them. I got icq just so that I can minister. and I have seen that so many peoplpe have questions and want so much more than what they have. they dont feel their life has a meaning .... they want to know God and the Bible. They get excited when someone takes the time to share with them and answer questions that they may have.

God Bless you guys... and I love you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you Jess for sharing :) That is very true. Without a passion for Christ, there is basically dead faith/faithful works. Its almost equivillent to just waiting for heaven to come and pick us up.

We need to understand the depth and beauty of GOD's grace, Word and all in between.

here's an article I did some time back

So Jesus said again " I assure you, unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood you cannot have eternal life within you."

John 6:56 NLT

This passage of Scripture is packed with revelation. Jesus is explaining what everyone must do to have communion with Him. We must eat His flesh and drink His blood. The people Jesus was speaking directly to had strict diets. They did not digest anything with blood in it, let alone human blood. It seems that Jesus is deliberately being offensive here. It looks like He is erecting a barrier. In reading this Scripture, Jesus spoke to me. He said," What kind of people would eat flesh or drink blood? I answered with great confidence, "I don't know." After a pause, Jesus answered," People who are desperately hungry and thirsty." He added," Until you become desperate for Me, you will not even get a taste."

The Pharisees were indignant. "Why does your teacher eat with such scum?" they asked his disciples. When He heard this, He replied, "Healthy people don't need a doctor, sick people do." Then He added, "Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ' I want you to be merciful; I don't want your sacrifices' for I have come to call sinners, not those who think they are already good enough."

Matthew 9:11-13 NLT

Again in this Scripture Jesus is offensive toward the religious sect. Jesus said he came for sinners, sick folk, people who realize they need some help. People who are desperate seem to attract Jesus. Why? Well, let's look at what desperate really means. The definition of desperate is: 1) reckless because of despair, 2) nearly hopeless, and 3) extreme. The definition of despair is; to lose all hope or utter lack of hope.

Webster's Dictionary II

Here is my theory on why Jesus is attracted to desperate people. Opposites attract. Let me explain it this way, a person with an utter lack of hope. Jesus, the source of hope , the HOPE of GLORY, moves in the direction of need.

Man was hopelessly dying in sin. Jesus came and through His own death paid for the redemption of all mankind. But we must first recognize our state of hopelessness and become desperate. Our relationship with Jesus is dependant on our desperateness for Him. Please hear what I'm about to say. Spiritual contentment is an enemy of our relationship with Jesus Christ! We must stay desperate!

Jesus said," I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot or cold. I wish you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say,' I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing!' And you don't realize that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked."

Revelation 3:15-17 NLT

You can see in the Scripture above, Jesus requires that we stay desperate for Him. If we don't, we will be in danger of being spit out by Jesus like water with a bad taste. The people Jesus is talking about in this Scripture are deceived. They think they are OK, but they are in great need. Jesus said they are blind, they can’t see their real state of spirituality. If they don’t change, they will be removed from Christ’s Body. Folks, please listen. Jesus is not playing, He means business. We desperately need an increase of passion and love for Jesus. Jesus is coming for a Bride who loves Him and nothing else. We must die to these other desires and be completely set apart for the one we are promised to. Let’s begin to encourage, even provoke each other to rekindle our passion for Jesus. Remember, we have the Holy Spirit here to help us. Please join with me as I ask for help.

Holy Spirit Give me the same attitude and heart that David has in Psalms 42:1

“ As the deer pants for streams of water, so I long for you O God.” Amen

Yes, if there is one thing that I'm extremely joyful about, it's when a person gives their life to Christ.

I think, to be honest...every one of us can fall into that mold where we can be rather self-seeking, careless or prideful. To avoid this, we must always be in the word of God and meditate on scripture.

However, I also believe that we should use our God-given talents/gifts to carry out that passion to really evangelize.

Although, at many times, I'm very discouraged because I'm not really confident in my so-called "talents" in order to carry out that passion. But, it's always nice to be able to share a testimony with someone who isn't saved.
