WE ARE LIVING IN SOME SERIOUS TIMES
We are living in some serious times. People are dying daily (accidents, murders, etc) and in the masses not just one here and there but hundreds (hurricane Katrina and Rita) and even thousands (tsunami). As believers we need to be in a place where are cup runneth over. Meaning that we are filled with the spirit, the word and the very essence of Christ that we be a well of living water where people can come and draw from us and have life. Like Jesus on the road to Jairus’s house when the women with the issue of blood just said to herself if she can only touch a piece of His garment, she would be healed. When she touched Jesus, He felt the power come out of Him but because of her determination her desperation for healing she was made whole. There are people who are desperate for God; desperate for a touch or an encouraging word, and we need to be filled just for them to draw from us and have a taste and they will see that the Lord is good. That we are a reservoir of God’s living water, grace and goodness and it is wrapped up inside of us.
The word tells us who we are in Matthew 5:13-15 says "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.” I know we are all aware of a lighthouse that helps the boat come into dock at night and that is who we are to the world we are the light that leads to Christ. We are salt and you know salt is a seasoning, salt can be use for ice to melt it we have the power to melt the cold hearts of people and bring flavor and taste and life to the unbeliever’s life and also to the save.
As Christian our responsibility is to share the word to carry it to every nation, every house hold and whoever God allow us to encounter. And yes I fall down on it sometimes but we must repent, because God is purpose driven no one encounters us by chance. And I feel bad cause we as Christians need to have compassionate for those who are not save we don’t chose who get save cause supposed no one ever witness(choose) to us. I know it is by the Holy Spirit we are convicted to say that Jesus Christ is Lord but the word says “One man plants, the other one water, but God will give the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6).” God is calling us to be sowers and waterers you know I mean we need to get it together believers; we are more concern about those who already are save than the unsaved. We need to move out of our comfort zone and help the sick; the poor cause that’s who Christ came for He said “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick (Matthew 9:12).”
I encourage you as my brothers and sisters in Christ we need to edify this body stop gossiping, slandering each other but iron sharpen iron the word says. We need to use the word for everything we need to be one in Christ because we are actually one body.
