I am glad for all of you that have turned to Talk Jesus, for the purpose of renewing or repairing your faith in the Lord. And a great welcome to any of you that are coming to Christ for the first time.
We are a simple forum and keep ourselves devoted to Jesus and the Word of God. If you are a struggling Christian, here is some advice. I have taken this advice myself and know that it works.
Keep your faith in the Lord. Keep a statement of faith in your heart about the love of the True and Only Begotten Son of God.
Romans 5:1
[ Peace and Joy ] Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we [ Or let us] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
And peace be to your hearts.
# Ephesians 6:23
Peace to the brothers, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Know that Jesus sums up all the law and the whole Word of God with two simple commandments. Love your God above all and love your neighbor as yourself.
Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Matthew 22: 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[c] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
Repentance and prayer. Remember that God is inviting you into His kingdom and wants your true happiness. That means being sorry for the very burdens that are carried by us. Jesus WANTS to take our burdens for us.
Acts 11:18
When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, "So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life."
Luke 5:32
I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Loving God is a wonderful experience. Once you have tasted of His fruit, you will forever be wanting more. God is so willing to accept you as one of His sheep. Jesus is already calling you.
Hoping your walk with the Lord is as beautiful as you could possibly pray for.
