What are the biblical signs of a hardened heart? & What can I do AS WELL as praying to the Father in Jesus/Yeshuas name to assure my heart is soft toward God AND neighbor.

Greetings,

interesting question(s), but perhaps there may be a better way to get to where your questions seem to be pointing to?

Bless you ....><>

What are the biblical signs of a hardened heart? & What can I do AS WELL as praying to the Father in Jesus/Yeshuas name to assure my heart is soft toward God AND neighbor.

Greetings again,

we must trust the Lord. If we do not trust Him, or if we trust ourselves or our changing feelings or emotions about ourselves and our walk, we will not have His peace in believing.

We can do all good things and not trust the Lord with ourselves. That makes all the good fruitless as far as we are concerned, meaning that we can get so indulged in our thoughts about ourselves and if we have done enough and if we should be doing anything else, that we can actually resist the peace of God that passes all our understanding.
Of course we should consider our ways before the Lord and do good but we do well to also commit our ways unto the Lord that He may direct our steps.

Trust in the Lord and let him do the softening. Don't ever think you are soft enough, but rather, trust him simply with simplicity and allow Him to fill you and keep you according to His good plan and pleasure for you and to His glory and praise.

ב
Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
ג
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.
And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Psalm 37:3=6

If you want a shorter answer then try this; if you listen to the news and you aren't affected, you might have a hard heart. If you dont feel guilty when you tell a little white lie, you might have a hard heart. If you get cut off on the highway and you obsess over it all day imagining your revenge, you might have a hard heart.

We now know that the heart referenced in scripture is our mind, or conscience. If you don't have a conscience you have a hard heart. Make sense?

Ok I understand why you say that.. I agree.
I don't have those problems I have is..
-I don't go to church because I don't feel welcomed. I've tried 3 different closest to my place of residence churches in the last 3 years...
Not including the Seventh day Adventist, and Mormon churches.. I've also tried a more secular church.
I've been baptized by a non denominational church, a Mormon church, and was born into Catholicism.

Baptism I feel is a ordinance that shows humility, and willingness. I'm willing and have been willing its just after checking out 3 christian, the Mormon, Sda, churches off doctrine I have concluded that I don't know where God wants me.. I'm blessed to be alive and have the bible, have the morals written in my heart, I feel the convictions of the spirit..
Some problems like thinking thoughts that run throughout my mind I've just gotten use to it
If becoming Hart hearted is slow like most describe repentance
How could I personally know I have a hard heart..??
Myself If I had to guess why I do I would say: the last few months I've become less hurt over others sins, less convicted over thoughts of lust, I live in a filthy mess in my room( the filthiest room in the house),
I smoke weed, live with my mom, watch videos most of the day, in 100 lbs over weight that I've gained the last 2 years, in wearing the same boxers I wore in high school, I've become extremely lazy the last few years, and I'm currently trying to find out what other disabilities I have(other than aspergers autism.)

The last time I was doing ok for myself was when I worked at Walmart in 2015 I held it for nearly a year.

Through all this I recognize I Frank am a sinner, I have hoped for change in my life, I've struggled but have gotten somewhat of a straight mind, I struggle with obedience to certain things like masturbating, I'm a clowny guy a joker,
But I know for a fact the Bible is true. I have reason to believe, it wasn't just passed on down to me like some family airloom.
So my life's a mess, and I hopefully wait for the day I will snap in a good way, a Holy spititual adrenaline if you will.
I wait for my life to change like I wait for a bus of a changed life to get on....

Frank, my brother, I've been there done that. Follow the example of Paul. 1st Corinthians 9:25-27.
Now everyone who competes exercises self-control in everything. However, they do it to receive a crown that will fade away, but we a crown that will never fade away.
Therefore I do not run like one who runs aimlessly or box like one beating the air. Instead, I discipline my body and bring it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

If you want to change, then change. 1st thing is to quit pot, it's sapping your will to live. 2nd go get a job, anything to get moving. 3rd get involved in your church. Go help out with the second graders. Do something for someone else. 4th clean your room. Then, if you can't get off pot get to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and don't stop going. You will have shown that you have a serious problem.

A lot of folks view God as a fairy God father. He's not. He's a spotter. Should have confused you right there.

Weight lifters have someone near them to help with a weight in case it is too heavy. This person is called a spotter. Sometimes they help by coaching while the weight lifter is struggling. Sometimes they put their hands on the weights and assist just enough to help get the weights back to the rack. Done this way the weight lifter gets stronger.

You are the weight lifter, God is the spotter. It takes moral and physical and spiritual strength to discipline yourself. God isn't going to suddenly turn you into a spiritual and physical Arnold Schwarzenegger .

You may not like the message but this is reality my friend. Your choice. Get up and live or remain dead, waiting to be buried.

Hi Frank, you have described your life, for me you haven't got a life.
Ask yourself, we're you born to take drugs.
Were you born to eat too much.
We're you born to sit and do nothing
We're you born to be lazy.
Woe is me three times woes.
No one is going to do it for you, you can't even get up and walk
to the bus stop, so how can the bus stop for you.
Stop looking at your selfish self, and look to Jesus.
If I was your father I'd kick your backside hopefully into life,
because at the moment you are dead in yourself

You know yourself that you are melting away or you wouldn't post.
Get off your backside, get your head up, stop sinning, look to Jesus.
I'd love you to get your life in order and be a shining witness for God,
I know deep down it is what you want, or you wouldn't be asking for
help.
Get up in the morning and say to yourself this is my new life, (beginning)
Then maybe you will be able to help someone else, just like you was,
some day in the future, through Jesus Christ I pray for you, Amen.

With Love, Wnl

be humble, don't be proud, God hates the proud pslam 11:5, acknowledge dat uv sinned and fallen short of Gods grace!! ask him to change ur mind towards him, love wat he loves, pray 2 him without ceasing!!

Hi Frank, there is a chorus, that could be used as a prayer. Change my heart oh God, make it ever true, change my heart oh God, may I be like you. You are the potter, I am the clay, mould me and make me, this is what I pray. You can repeat it a few times if you wish. A hardened heart wouldn't be asking this question, it would be to hard. Bless you

What are the biblical signs of a hardened heart?

The signs: A unforgiving spirit when one has done you wrong or you believe that person has done you wrong and You cannot Forgive them from your heart.

(Matthew 18).
22Jesus told him, “I tell you, not just seven times, but 77 times!t23“That is why the kingdom fromuheaven may be compared to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24When he had begun to settle the accounts, a person who owed him 10,000 talentsv was brought to him. 25Because he couldn’t pay, his master ordered him, his wife, his children, and everything that he owned to be sold so that payment could be made.

26Then the servant fell down and bowed low before him, saying, ‘Be patientwwith me, and I will repay you everything!’ 27The master of that servant had compassion and released him, canceling his debt.

28“But when that servant went away, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii.x He grabbed him, seized him by the throat, and said, ‘Pay what you owe!’ 29Then his fellow servant fell down and began begging him, ‘Be patient with me and I will repay you!’ 30But he refused and had him thrown into prison until he could repay the debt.

31“When his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were very disturbed and went and reported to their master everything that had occurred. 32Then his master sent for him and told him, ‘You evil servant! I canceled that entire debt for you because you begged me. 33Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’ 34In anger his master handed him over to the jailers until he could repay the entire debt. 35This is how my heavenly Father will treat each one of you unless you forgive your brother from your hearts.”
