“If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love;
even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in His love.”

John 15:10

As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you:
continue ye in My love.
If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love;
even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

These things have I spoken unto you,
that My joy might remain in you,
and that your joy might be full.

This is My commandment,
That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

John 15:9-12

What commandments did Jesus keep?

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are My friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another.
John 15:13-17

I have many things to say and to judge of you: but He that sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of Him. (They understood not that He spake to them of the Father.)

Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father hath taught Me, I speak these things.
And He that sent Me is with Me: the Father hath not left Me alone; for I do always those things that please Him. As He spake these words, many believed on Him.
John 8:26-30

Yet ye have not known Him; but I know Him: and if I should say, I know Him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know Him, and keep His saying.
John 8:55

And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians 2:8

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Romans 5:19

What are the Father's commandments?
They are scattered through Proverbs and the prophets….

Example:
“Proverbs 2:1-6
My son, if you will receive my words
And treasure my commandments within you,
**Make your ear attentive to wisdom,
Incline your heart to understanding;
For if you cry for discernment,
Lift your voice for understanding;
If you seek her as silver
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
Then you will discern the fear of the Lord
And discover the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

I’ve come across “instructions” through the prophets, that parallels Jesus words. For he only does and says whats shown him(or that he sees and hears:)

(I’m terrible at providing book, chapter and verse, as I read it like a book, and don’t pay much attention to what verse or chapter(book) it’s in. Really a down fall in such situations as this…I will see if I can find some more as an example)

Gods “commands” are more like instructions…Feed the hungry, heal the sick, comfort the widows….ect…Be still, and know I Am!!!!(God)….

For this sums up the Law. It’s Love that fulfills the Law(or what’s known as commandments)

—For this is Erernal Life! That we Know Him:) And thus Live (by what was spoken)

The *WAY* provided!

Repent and Obey(submit) —to the Word(s) given. Follow It!

Commanded;)

(This has been spoken so many times in different ways all throughout. From the OT to the NT. )

Greetings,

thanks for your reply.

God's Prophets heard from Him. In other words, they didn't read in the scrolls and then deduce what was the best thing to say and do.

Much is said/written about keeping the commandments; obeying the commandments.

When Jesus said, " I have kept my Father’s commandments", what was He referring to? What commandments?

Likewise, we are to follow Him and as He said, we are to keep His commandments. Are His commandments different from His Father's commandments?

Bless you ....><>

It was all oral before it was written down. From the Time of Abraham. Which had the exchange of bread and wine, before any of it was given to the rest of Israel. It was already established!

I don’t find them different, as he only did what the Farher showed him. Being obedient(following) even unto death!

He summed up the 10 (which are actually 1/4 (reworded) of the 42 laws of the Egyptian goddess Ma’at laws. Moses being raised up in Egypt and all;)

The rest, concern a people in the desert. And the way to live through it healthy. He made their paths!

Which were Summed up to: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind! And you neighbors as yourself. To Love, as he Loved us.
Thus fulfilling the Law(or the Torah)
—The temple, the sacrifice, the furniture, the priesthood, and all that came with it; Complete in a human body. Which was the whole point!
Physical and Spiritual reconciled:)
