But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

What is laid on your heart??

I see many Christians seeklm to find pleasure and sport when arguing over the Word it's sad..

The context of the verse is much like Rom 14:5. Paul is telling us to avoid immaterial disagreements.

It is our duty as ambassadors of Jesus 2 Cor 5:20 to defend God's honor and the true material facts of scripture. Take this sites core beliefs as an example. Every core belief is considered an essential for Christianity and the truth.

Restoring a brother or sister that is stumbling on a core truth is true Christianity!

Now the devil hates the truth and will always attack a site teaching it. You will find many trying to start arguments, create rabbit trails and dodge direct questions on this site. This is not to say all are false teachers. But what is clear is that as we approach the end of days, the days get more evil and we are all getting a lot more dirt on our minds that is coming out in our posts.

A lot of Christian sites are having to deal with more and more heated discussions. It is not unique to this one.

My initial reaction Sister is of a dog chasing their tail.
:)
Sorry, but that's what I think of.

In a way as you say its sad, but I also look at it that at least they are in the Word. The real sadness is those that have it, but don't use it at all. It just stays dusty on the shelf from lack of use. Except how they treat/denigrate each other while they argue and do their sport, to me is truly sad. :(

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

It shows that they r not really of Him that they talk a walk they are not even trying to crawl in so many have been sneared in the entanglement of the world wide web sadly

For those that claim to know Him n bicker bring this to me
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools

Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way
