Greetings,
As professing Christians, what drives us or motivates us in our life? Why do we do the things we do?
anyone who would like to join in here and share a little about what they honestly get motivated by in regards to Jesus.
Here are a few thoughts ideas to help you get going in this discussion.
there might be other things or reasons, too.
One thing is certain, that being, that for most Christians they find something different about what drives them from before they became Christians.
Are there areas where we still carry baggage from the past or have somewhere picked it up again?
Perhaps we have heard some teaching or we are in a congregation or fellowship that emphasises certain doctrines or ideology that we go along with.. maybe not even realising it.
Do we do things that when we stop and really think about it, are things either in our mind or heart or actions that reflect a specific motivation or drive behind it and us?
please remember it is not a competition and try to keep honest about your input. We can all know about all the 'right' or correct or even acceptable things or reason for getting motivated in our walk with the Lord but in day to day, what motivates or drives you in all areas of your life?
Also, try to refrain from telling people what they should do or shouldn't do. There are plenty of avenues to do this if you feel you have to. Instead, share about what is right to you or what you would like to see better, if anything, etc.
There may be ways or things or thoughts that others have, too and there may be things that others have never thought about or knew was possible in this new life we share in Christ Jesus the Lord.
Are there any Scriptures that might be helpful?
Please be kind in your interaction with one another in the same way you would if Jesus was there in the midst of you (us) all.

- Salvation
- Eternal life
- Escaping punishment
- Avoiding God's wrath
- Reward
- Staying Strong
- Keeping Safe

- Hope
- fear
- money
- fame
- acceptance from people
- the list goes on (don't be afraid if it's something different altogether.)
