What Exactly Is The Bible

Alot of people might say The Bible is a book full of old stories or they might say It is the book that tells us of the salvation we recieve from our Lord Jesus, and yet others may call it some old book that christians choose to believe, but it is so much more than we sometimes realize it is.

The Bible is the very written word of God and in it we find that it is the manual for living life, raising our children, we find comfort, strength, the wisdom of God Himself, it is our shield and protects us from the darts of the evil one(satan), It tells us of the Love our Lord Jesus has for us and it is filled with His promises to us...our Bible is the very means that Jesus uses to connect us to Him...Through His word we grow closer to and in Him. Our Bible is the very lifeline through which Jesus comes and speaks to us through His words...no other book can help us much as God's very written word "The Bible"...then again since it is His very written word and Jesus is the living word and is also all this to us and more...how could it be any other way...it can't because the bible is the written word given to us from the Living Word..our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I want to take time right now to Thank Him for His sacrifice and for laying down His life so that I might be saved...For by and through Him we are each bought at a price..Thank you God for your salvation and mercy upon us and Thank you for your written word which comes from You The Living Word...Thank you for all that is in word and for the wisdom, love, strength, comfort, protection, peace, and saving grace we find in you and your written word...Praise Your Mighty Name Now and Forever More!

Matthew4:4 But He(Jesus) answered and said, " It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

The bible is a compilation of canonized books and letters.

I appreciate your passion for Christ and I agree with you that He is the living Word of God.
I'm not sure how you meant it but many mistake the bible as to always indicate the scriptures, the problem with this is there are so many different bibles today.

This is why I think it is necessary to mention that we must connect with God by HolySpirit's power through Christ. I too am thankful for the scriptures but am even more thankful that HolySpirit can speak to us directly and teach us what Christ is saying to His Body.

History of Revelation.

Our Bible reveals God's plan for the reconciliation of mankind to Himself.

2 Corinthians 5:18
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ,

and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

This one line sums up the purpose of God's revelation to mankind.

Reconciliation administered in pure love to a World immersed in darkness.

Without the Holy Spirit the Bible is an ancient text.

With the Holy Spirit, the Bible contains the living truth, it reveals to us Jesus Christ.

Yes, primarily through his written word. I read and study several versions of the Bible and trust the Holy Spirit to sort it out for me.
