Luke 14:16 Jesus said,
A certain man made a great supper, and many were supposed to come: Come for all things are now ready.
And they began to make excuses.
I have bought a piece of ground, and I'm going to see it; have me excused.
I have bought five yoke of oxen, I go to prove them; have me excused.
I have married a wife, I can not come.
The master of the house was angry and sent his servant into the streets and lanes of the city, bring in the poor and maimed, the halt and blind.
I already have and there is still room.
The lord said go out to the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house is filled. For none of them that were hidden shall taste my supper.
Ouch....
So what excuse will you give?
Well Lord I'm just to busy with this world's affairs to serve you.
Is this world hindering my progression in the Lord?
Are my treasures here on earth or in heaven?
Have I forsaken all, and picked up my cross, and followed Him?
If not, what will be my excuse?
I pray Lord, allow your servants to be doers of the Word, and not hearers only.
God first, always.
All praise glory and honor be unto God. Amen
