Hello Everyone,
My name is Grant. My wife and I are kind of sharing the membership to this forum. We share a facebook profile too. I guess that's what happens when you're one flesh. Anyway, I wanted to share what the Lord taught me through the process of writing my book.
It started in 2007, when my wife had the most incredible dream of her life. She woke me up early that morning and told me every detail. She never remembers all the details of her dreams, but this one she did. She told me "you should turn that into a story" I smiled and nodded and ultimately forgot about it.
Then, not long after we began noticing news stories about persecutions happening to Christians in America, and the similarities to her dream were uncanny. The Holy Spirit made it clear that He wanted me to turn her dream into a story that would grab people's attention, and that's how it all began.
Several times, I thought to myself "this is crazy. I'm not a novel writer. Sure, I can write, but not something of this scope." It took a lot of trials, but by the grace of God I found myself daring to believe that, if I obeyed His calling and wrote the story, He would do something awesome with it. There were so many times I thought it would never work, but I held on desperately to hope. This year, this past month actually, The Glimpse was finally published. It hasn't been out long, but the Holy Spirit has already done something awesome. In an unexpected turn of events, Jerry B. Jenkins, the co-author of Left Behind series, has agreed to review the book!
I'm not sure what God is planning to do with the book, but I'm learning to trust Him more and more. The book is available for free download on amazon.com from 9/22/12 to 9/26/12. I hope the story impacts the hearts and minds of believers.
You can find it by searching for The Glimpse by Grant Carroll in amazon. Please tell me what you think about it.
