I am single and I love the Lord. You know, the Word of God should be our guide in all we do and if we look at what the Lord says about marriage I sometimes wonder why He gave us this incredible desire to want to bind ourselves to one human being for all eternity.
Could it be that He makes some of us wait because He wants us to fall in love with Him first? Surely, if God is our first love as was intended, He should be our soulmate. Don't get me wrong. I also long to get married and have a family of my own but i understand that God sees what I cannot see. He knows what is best for me and i know that He would rather kill me than let me go to hell if that is what it takes, however I surely do pray that God will send someone across my path who understands what it is He wants us to do.
My best friend is a boy and that sometimes leads to some confusion because you get to know that person so well that they become a part of you. That does however not mean that he is my husband or my soulmate. That simply means that we know each other so well that we are completely comfortable in each other's company. He recently got a girlfriend and to my surprise I was not jealous but shared in his joy.

I know God will send my husband and I know that it will be beautiful and that we will love each other as God intended but I surely hope that Jesus will remain to be my Soulmate.

May He make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.

Hey Esther,
that is great that Gods word is a guide in your life.
"Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light to my path" Psalm 119:105

And i think it is a wonderful plan that God has given each one of us the desire to be loved and cared for by him and a desire to be loved by one special soulmate. :-)

May God keep on blessing you in your walk with him

ok, i dont know exactly how to respond to that..... but i agree with what you say and I am also going to use that from now on (especially when Taneal asks me why I dont have a boyfriend).
God bless you
-vlooi-
p.s. you will always be my roll model( you know why);)

I have a church friend who prayed for years that God would send him a soulmate. Guess what? God answered his prayer. He and his wife were both in their forties when they wed and it is obvious that they are a perfect match.

The most important relationship in our lives should be our relationship with God. Putting any object or any person ahead of God is idolatry.
