Dear brothers and sisters;
May I share a confession from my heart? I get this fire within my spirit and love to contribute at the Talk Jesus forums.
Most of the time I write a thread or post to your topic left and right but there are moments when God's messages, topics, jokes, from your submissions are telling me not to reply. I asked God, why am I feeling this way? I then feel so out of touch because many of our brothers and sisters are contributing threads/posts and cannot keep up with them! lol!
I choose to sit still and these verses jump out at me;
"Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10
Am I feeding my own appetite? Do I just want to be heard? Maybe. If this is so, God please correct me..
In Luke 12:11 Jesus tells us not to worry about how we will defend ourselves before the rulers and authorities. "For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say." Luke 12:12
I want to jump out at those hot topics that I may not agree with but suddenly feel the dark side within me. How are my words going to effect how I witness to my brothers and sisters and can they use these to also witness out in the community? How many times have I gone privately to you to apologize?
God has spoken to my heart many times at Talk Jesus and when I recall Psalm 104:34, May my meditation be pleasing to Him, as I rejoice in the Lord.
I have chosen to believe in the Almighty God, and the only way to Him is through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. So, if this is to be, then I have to believe He will make my words sweet and my rebuke (correction) firm but gentle during those times.
All this is easier said than done, brothers and sisters, but God is faithful, and His discipline in us, me, is His great LOVE for us to be better servants. I think of being still on the Word, seek first God's Kingdom of Heaven, and practice what He has learned me,
"But grow in the grace and knowledge for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever!" 2 Peter 3:18
It feels like when I sit still and meditate on the Lord, whether in my home, church, work, community, and Talk Jesus, God is allowing me to contribute by listening while I read His message through your writings! Praise His wonderful name!
They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?" Luke 24:32
The burning comes back in my spirit, I feel a sense of freedom because its God leading me to contribute and not my own flesh exposing my agendas. Then I can feel God's confirmation telling me to refrain from unwholesome talk from my lips amongst my brothers and sisters compromising good character, instead;
"Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you." Mark 5:19
I desire to continue to grow in my Walk with Jesus. And this means getting out of His way and being last, and His servant first. And you know what? Its a life process and I am just beginning to get it.
Your servant in Christ Jesus.
