The House of God is a place where the presence of God abides.
The old testament people had the ark of God as a picture of the intentions of God. We new covenant believers ought to allow Christ remove the veil upon many of our eyes. JOHN 2vs19-20 "Jesus said unto them ,destroy this temple and in three days i will raise it up. Then said the Jews ,forty and six years was this temple in building and wilt thou rear it up in three days"? As we know that the works and purpose of God for humanity are progressive, this people in the passage were carnal beings because he Holyghost was not yet given ,in the same position are many believers today, We are the temple of God 1 Corinthians 3 :16 " Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the spirit of Christ dwelleth in you?"
Therefore let us be conscious of the very House of God that we are ,the physical structure where we assemble also is the house of God but biblically Hebrew 10:25 admonishes us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves as children of God.
My closing passage is Proverbs 27 vs 17: Iron sharpeneth iron ;so a man sharpenenth the countenance of his friend.
