At Church Sunday my Pastor was talking about the need to pray. He said it is very simple, basically prayer is talking to God, dont pretend to be someone else. Just talk to him cause as a Father, He basically knows all your needs before you even ask. Your a son/daughter so your approach to God should be fearless but with reverence.:lightning

I meditated for a moment and I thought maybe if all believers would take it seriously that our families are gonna die unless we talk to God on their behalf. They are gonna die spiritually unless we pray. Then what will it take before we take five minutes and mention their names in the presence of a Holy God.

What will bring breakthrough? Is it just talking about the problem or asking God the Holy One to intervene.

My pryaer is we must shake the earth, tear down walls that have kept our families in bondage, we must not pray the problem but the solution Jesus saves. God hears us when we pray. It is our unbelief that hinders our own prayer. We nullify our prayers by our lack of faith. All things are possible with Christ. God doesnt lie, so what He says He will do He will surely do. and I believe it.

What will it take before you start to pray. Dont wait for one of them to die before you begin to talk to God. I lost someone some years ago, and I regret not lifting up her name to God. I can only hope that she made Heaven.
I am determined not to let it happen to anyone else. So I urge you Pray, love them by praying for them. Give the Lord no rest.

If you have a prayer need. I would like to talk to God with you. Believing God for breakthrough. Please remember me also in your prayers. My prayer need at this time is for God to save my Dad and my brother. Praise God my mom and sister are in. Keep me in your prayers as i will keep you.:lightning

Excellent post sister! You've encouraged me. Although I pray every day, I still know that I am slacking and not growing like I should be. I am moved to grow and have been wanting, waiting for GOD to prune the things in my life that interfere with my walk with Him. The things that take up too much time and take away time with GOD including prayer, meditation studies.

I am motived and encourage everyone with you sister to PRAY! The end is very near, what are you waiting for? Drop the useless tv remote. For once, turn off the sports radio. Step away from your xbox kids and just pray! There are spiritually dead people everywhere around you. Will you not give GOD some pleasing events in your life by submitting in love to Him, praying for others like Jesus did for you and I? Even on the Cross He prayed!

Let's pray and keep praying, day and night! No matter where you are, pray! Home, car, work, traffic jam, in the middle of chaos, whatever it is pray! Out loud or in silence within your heart - God hears it all.

Amen and Amen!

I, too, fall slack sometimes. Our Sunday sermon message was it's not how much you give to God but how much you hold back. Give it ALL to Him.

He has already been working with me on praying more. As soon as I did, the devil started attacking me. I ask for your prayers to continue and stay strong. The devil is trying to drive a wedge in several areas of my life.

I am standing.... (so to speak) fists up, stance, ready to fight in the name of the Holy Spirit.

Wow, How could I have missed this one! Thank you, Dawn Lino, for that word of exhortation. When you said, Give the Lord no rest, it reminded me of the parable in Luke 18:Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.' 4 "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!'" 6 And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" And I'm believing with you your household will be saved as He has promised according to the book of Acts 16:31. God bless you.
