Poll Question: Kindly forgive me because the place was not at all sufficient for the question to fit. This is the question:

"What do you think would have happened, if Jesus had to appear to the Pharisees and Scribes after His resurrection?

Post:

Dear friends,

There has been something that has been interesting to me.

When Jesus rose again from the dead, the bible didn't mention any where about Jesus appearing to the Pharisees and Scribes, but from the following verses I can tell that Jesus didn't appear to the Pharisees and Scribes.

Matthew 28:11-15:

11 As the women were on their way into the city, some of the men who had been guarding the tomb went to the leading priests and told them what had happened.

12 A meeting of all the religious leaders was called, and they decided to bribe the soldiers.

13 They told the soldiers, “You must say, ‘Jesus’ disciples came during the night while we were sleeping, and they stole his body.’

14 If the governor hears about it, we’ll stand up for you and everything will be all right.”

15 So the guards accepted the bribe and said what they were told to say. Their story spread widely among the Jews, and they still tell it today.

My question in this poll is ,"What would have happened, if Jesus appeared to the Pharisees?"

Even though I vote for the option: "They would have said that, it is His Ghost", I say that either of the two things would have happened:

1) They would have said that, it is His Ghost.
2) They would have said, "Well Jesus looks to have come again, so let us kill Him.".

The reason is because they were so hard hearted.

Well who knows there could be another possibility:

3) The Pharisees' blind eyes would have opened.

I'm going to keep the fourth option as well, and it depends on what you felt like, God has revealed to you. When you opt for the fourth option, please mention what would have happened in your post.

God bless you.

NOTE: Let us not take this light as well, because there are millions of Jews over the years who have been misguided by the fact that Jesus did not rise again from the dead, but His body was stolen by His disciples.
We the Christians need to reach out to the Jews as well and win their souls.

My reason? Remember the story of the Rich man and Lazaruas the begger in Luke chapter 16?

While suffering hells terrible torments, the rich man begged Abraham to send Lazarus to speak to his five brothers and warn them of the tortures he was now suffering so they would believe and not come to the same end.

Luke 16 verse 31: And he (Abraham) said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded

'Though one rose from the dead.'

Even if Jesus had stood face to face with the Scribes and the Pharisees not even one of them would have been persuaded to believe that it really was Jesus standing there before them fully resurrected and fully alive!

Well if this is your reason, then it is matching with either option 1 or 2, because both the cases imply the fact that they would not have believed that Jesus rose again from the dead.

God bless you.

Sorry, but I don't see it that way. God bless you.
