I am curious. Most church houses today still struggling to hold on are mostly elderly. A lot of the churches have no young people at all.
Was it the Mega Churches puting them out of business like walmart did mom and pop stores?

That's an interesting question. I'd like to know the answer as well. Perhaps one of the admins could get that statistic. It seems like most of the members that I interact with here fall into the 40-70 age range.

God Put them out of business. Not climate control, Now ask answer your own Question Who is "LORD of ALL" and do you have to spend another 15 to 20 years to understand What The Theological GOD WORD "LORD" means, and another 5 years to learn when added in the term with Capital "ALL" formed in this way "LORD OF ALL" And Another 10 years to learn what the theological Word "SOVEREIGN" means when Referring To The "Tetragrammaton"? and after you added that and went off into That which is "INFINITE" and Cannot or have the Ability To Comprehend that Is Incomprehensible By the Finite mind. Have close and will destroy them all! and For A Reminder, wHen The glory Left the temple of God and He said My Glory shall Never return to a Building again Never will my Glory be upon A building again, Not on earth, nor in heaven or throughout all eternity, I will never see foot in another building. Even now the GLORy of GOD will never dwell in any church on earth, if he did he is Liar and The Word of God cannot be TRUSTED> Because he is A LIAR if he every enters a church building,

Now if said and we know He dwells in the Hearts of Men, Now How can he dwell in the Hearts of men and women and men and women walks into a church building, so does that mean that if men and women are in there how can "GOD keep out?

Easy:

Genesis 18:14
Is anything too difficult for the LORD?
Matthew 19
New King James Version
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”:eyes:
Isaiah 55
8“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,”declares the LORD. 9“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.…

New American Standard Bible Acts 7:48
However, the Most High does not dwell in houses made by humanhands; as the prophet says::eyes:

They are slick, The 3 Card Monte group.

Come lets go to the church the House of God. :sob:ok lets go.

We are something else. "Oh we don't mean that we just call it that" the church.

"LBGQT' Oh we don't mean that we just call it that" It ain't a girl it is a boy we just call it that"

21st. century is something else.

My cousin was a I year short of 90 years old and just got a cell phone, we got to talking in person, and I show him a picture on his cell phone. And ask him what is that, He said a Woman, I told him no it is not, that is a man. You should have saw the look on his face. I told him, they have pills, a man can look better than a women and beat them out of A "BEAUTY Contest":sob: He have never been on a computer, He went silent. I told him you can marry a women today and in the morning it is a man.

So the church you see with your eyes is Not the Congregation of GOD, what you see is not of God. It looks good and dresses GOOD it ain't The real thing.

2 Corinthians 4:18

New King James Version
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are ETERNAL.

New American Standard Bible
while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are
ETERNAL.

The church you see everyday is not "ETERNAL" God will destroy That church that we all know, it will never exist again, but "The Sons of GOD" And The People Of God" Will Never Perish And Be Forever And Ever And We Will Never Die, AND Heaven, He WILL Destroy Too!:pensive: Stop Going To Church And Read Your Bible Like You Never Read It Before From Front To Back Over And Over Again. Until You Have Covered Every Oz. UNTIL you eat and sleep and dream Bible.

Told my mother and father to do this, when the church was making them so poor in the retirement. and my mother cried as read her bible like Neve before worn them out on after another and Told Chris I did know God was like and she has beeb falloff the Holy Ghost t since was A child and She GOD in her Old age and How He would talk to her. Chris I didn't know , And told The church was in The WAY, when came out You had Nothing but him, the members the pastors the choirs, Mama you gave all your time toGOD ALONE and He Honored it , And when day die yo was not alone GOD your Father Kept you company and you wanted No one to interfere with that. Yes Yes Chris you are right, Chris how do you know all of these things, and my responds Mama I don't know, and then years my answer Mama I don't know but one thing I do know I love God and His Word I love God, and there is No room for another be It church or man or women no room, when You love God with all of your soul and your mind and strength he covers the rest.
And many will say and not understanding what they have just said.

They will say; AND
The second command
If you love "GOD" with ALL there is nothing after "ALL" there is nothing left for any, All your mind all your Strength.

New King James Version
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

That’s a good observation, I’m in that age range too.

I’m curious to know the stats as well.

Currently and for many years I have not been attending church. I tried the small groups thing several times, somehow they never stuck. I’ve been to different churches but the ones I would prefer to attend to are not in my area.

I can see the benefit to attending church as a new believer. However if you don’t investigate your faith or dig deeper, church ends up just being a comfortable superficial hangout place.

Over the last few years God has been working on me. I won money at a contest and I got this strong sense to buy Christian audiobooks to deepen my faith, which they did. I was tempted to spend it all on Steam games. Now I’m reading books, listening to audiobooks and sermons constant. I’m thirsty for Christ. My faith in Christ has deepened incredibly in the last few years.

Attending church those year ago, I see it now as Kindergarten for Christians. You have to pursue Him, ask questions, learn about Him, and see for yourself why Christ is savoury.

So awesome to hear that God has brought you revelation about your prior spiritual condition and that His Holy Spirit is convicting you to go deeper in seeking Him!

And you’re so spot-on with finding the right church……one that provides a good balance of both spiritual “milk” and spiritual “meat. One that still preaches hard biblical truth but that tempers it with love, mercy, and grace. It’s a challenge…..and church-hopping gets old. I’ve been there.
Just Keep seeking!
Jeaus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled!”
He makes good on His promises.
Have a blessed evening my friend!

Thank you. I’m so happy to have found Jesus Talk community. I’ve felt alone in my faith for a long time.

Thanks again for the support.

I think smaller congregations are more homey feeling. Mega churches with thousamds and even smaller one with, say 500 are to cumbersome. I mean, i have heard of people liviving across the street from one anothe and had no idea they were members of the same church for years.
