My name is Keith Wilson.
Prior to meeting Christ Jesus, I studied physics and was a world class pocket billiards player. In particular, I studied light. I labored as an optician.
35 years ago I read the Bible and met Jesus as did Paul on the road to Damascus. After reading the Bible I went to Church and found that one Church was against another—I wondered why. I went out by myself for five years into the hills of MO and read and studied 10 versions of the Bible along with 967 books on Biblical languages and theologies and histories. I studied all day every day—from the time I got up until I went to bed. My purpose was to find out why there is separation in the Churches.
Upon completion of my studies, I was given to know that there are 7 churches in the Revelation, two were perfect in the eyes of God, five had difficulty in the eyes of God, however, they were all called the Church of...
I wanted to labor in an intra-denominational setting. Because of my background, I was lead by God to labor as the Director of a small in-patient alcohol treatment center. I found myself needing more.
I preached on the streets and found no success. One day, just after preaching and with no response I sat on a bench in the park. A lady sat beside me and seeing my Bible said, "I have never read the Bible." I said, "Would you do me a favor and read the first words of Genesis and tell me what they are saying—apparently I am not getting it?" She said, "OK", and did. After she completed the first chapter she told me what it meant to her. She asked if I would be there the next day, I said yes and we agreed to meet. She brought another lady with her. Each read a chapter and told me what the words meant to them. Before long we were in a downtown MacDonalds and there were eight women reading a chapter each and telling what it meant to them. In about a year, they taught me the whole Bible. All the women got saved. I had nothing to do with it. I just gained insight by listening to what they taught me.
One of my clients wanted me to go with him to the Rescue Mission to see if he could stay there when treatment was completed. As I waited for him in the Chapel, I prayed and came to the understanding that I would labor in a mission. I called my sister in another state and asked if I could stay with her while I wrote a resume'. She said there was a Rescue Mission in our home town and she looked up the number while talking to me. I called the Mission and talked to the Director. He said he was waiting for my call, he needed an assistant director. I gave my notice at work and I started a month later. I was given to labor in an intra-denominational setting.
Over twenty-five years in and directing homeless shelters has given me a wonderful view and understanding of how God works with and in those who believe and do not believe. I have been blessed.
I met my wife through my ministry. We attended church together and she supported me as a piano teacher and as the business director in our shelter and t-shirt shop. I received very little salary—most of the time none.
Our homeless community created a Christian t-shirt printing business that used all of the profits to give thousands and thousands of printed garments to third world countries via missionaries—our t-shirts and other printed items are in 58 countries.
I have preached in about 100 different churches. I taught many Bible studies. I, along with my wife, am retired and a workamper. We had no retirement, so we go place to place in our 5th wheel and work. We are having fun and in most places we stay we lead Bible studies and labor in the local mission.
From the time I first read the Bible, I have done nothing but tell people about Jesus. My Biblical understandings are non-denominational and of my own choosing. So far, I have not offended any denomination or church I attended or preached in. I do ask a lot of questions though.
I see the kingdom and believe that the closer we get to the kingdom the greater our understandings of the teachings of the prophets and the apostles and Christ Jesus. I understand that from the time of Adam to now shows how much God has given to those who believe. I understand that the Bible has more variables in it than any other work extant. Because of that, we, the Christian community, have been given all the technologies and medicine and abilities to preach the Gospel to all nations. We have been made rich in Spirit and in physical ways so that we might give health and welfare to the rest of the world—so they might believe in the Lord Christ Jesus. I see the kingdom coming for all who might believe.
I love Isiah 58-60 in the old testament. I love the writings of John in the new testament. I believe the whole Bible. I know that many of the extra-Biblical writings are based on assumption and cause division amongst the believers. I will not judge the way another came to know Christ Jesus. I will do my utmost to bring light to the world and Christ Jesus is that light.
I am one of the worst of sinners. What a great gift that I am even given to speak the name of all names—Jesus.
I know two absolutes: There is a God. I am not Him.
Blessings
