How much does the television and films mould your children's lives?
How much do they watch and have access to. Do you know what they are watching?
I'm sure as parents we all ensure their teeth are clean, their clothes are clean, their food is fresh and that their drinking water is not contaminated
Yet is any care put into what filth is pumped into their hearts and minds through TV and films?
The TV is my Shepherd, I shall not want anything else.
It maketh me to lie down on the sofa.
It leadeth me away from the Scripture.
It destroyeth my soul.
It leadeth me in the paths of sex and violence for the sponsors sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will enjoy the evil, for blood and sex, they excite me.
It prepares a filthy commercial before me in the presence of my children.
It anoints my head with humanism. My coveting runneth over.
Surely laziness and ignorance shall follow my family all the days of our lives,
and we shall dwell in the house watching TV forever. (author unknown)
How important it is in these last dark days to lead our children in the way of truth and not the way of the world which so powerfully entices their hearts.
It can be such a struggle
May we continually pray that we as parents and our dear children can say with honesty and assurance........
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
