If you really like someone and are interested in a relationship with them, is it ok for a female to make the first move or does it come across as desperate.By first move i mean asking the guy on a date.

Good question. Probably the man should make the first move. Reason I say this? Because GOD created Adam first, and then Eve came after because GOD said:

Genesis 2:18
Then the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him."

So I would assume Adam approached her considering he knew his way around the area already per se

The first move I feel should come from the man. A woman may give an understanding.......encouraging smile, but it is the mans job, to win his bride. Nothing like being swept off your feet ladies!

I think the guy should make the first move. But every once in awhile the guy needs a little-itty-bit of encouragement from the girl. But the girl should not throw herself at the poor guy. That makes her seem desperate.

in cases that i've been in the female made the first move. it was an AWESOMe feeling. lol didnt' knwo9 what to do i sat there shocked.. lol

but now i've made al the moves. no hint's or nothgin just confront them and say i feel this what about you?? lol

I agree with Chad, but like the other users have said, women should always show interest so the male will know if she is interested or not.
