Why do atheists believe in Satan?

Atheists are always saying they don’t believe there is a God,but yet they worship Satan and have Satan “church’s”.
What makes them believe there is a Satan?

In my opinion ( yes, just my opinion ). People don't want someone to be accountable to. They don't want to be told what to do or not do.
But yet, at the same time, they want someone to blame for their mistakes. They don't want anything to be their fault.
As Flip Wilson used to say "the devil made me do it". Of course the devil can't make you do anything if you're saved.
But the reality is, if they aren't saved, they DO have someone telling them what to do. They are slaves to sin.

I've spent much time with the Atheists through the years and what you're saying here is true. It's all about pure rebellion against the righteous Laws of God. They want to live this life according to their own desires, and reject any responsibilities for it.

I spend most of my time reasoning from the Scripture that the theory of evolution is not a fact. The majority of Atheists are so blind they actually believe this theory is a fact. When I eventually get to the responsibility for sin, that's when all hell breaks loose.

That's true, but you're not going to get anywhere with the Atheist in that attitude. I've actually had Atheists to send a PM to me wanting to know what it means to be saved and how is that is done. I have led some to Christ and I'm in contact with them through email.

It's few and far between but it is happening.

Yep, I know this upsets some as Jesus proved that to us when he said the same thing.

I would not say this directly to an unsaved person at first meeting them even though it was true. You can not preach the mercy of God without also preaching the justice of God As they go hand in hand. There would be no Mercy without justice.

I agree, but all in good time, all in order. The reason for the condemnation must precede the actual condemnation for understanding.

These people are Biblically discerned, having no knowledge whatsoever, or they have been lied to and have a false knowledge.

I have chatted on atheist sites for about 3-4 years. Trying to pin them on their actual personal beliefs is not easy. They very evasive.

I would expect a true atheist to not actually believe in 'satan's' existence but rather in what he stands for. They have in common his rebellion to God. IE Rebellion to God's laws. IE Rebellion to what is right. An atheist is merely another lost soul not willing to deal with reality.

According to scripture 'all believe in God' and are 'without excuse' Rom 1:20. Atheism is at its core a mindset that allows you to practice your sins without conviction.

If you studied the beliefs of the satanic church, you would find many parallels to atheism.

I have also spent too much time discussing evolution with people that just won't budge to logic.

I once heard an honest statement from an atheistic evolutionist. Some well known professor at a university in London about ten years ago. I cannot recall the name though.

They're so far gone and damaged their beliefs are inconsistent.
Many whine they don't believe in any gods while many whine they don't believe in the Christian (your) god.
Every argument is always weak and they're the same.

Out of the hundreds of Atheists I've interacted with only 5 have kept a civil and calm attitude when discussing things.
The rest name call, simply state "We're wrong." and "God doesn't exist." and all the poor excuses they use.
Most are not open to another POV.

I've got my own list of evidence which includes the most logical, reasonable answers.
Most do not understand faith.
We don't believe b/c we've seen evidence. Evidence simply makes proof of His existence that much stronger to the world.
Their inherent bias is so hard (not strong) they have a required list of the evidence they will accept.
